Lordsvale MVS Coin Mech help

    So after noticing the Diode had also blown I have replaced the following;

    Diode - £0.09
    5V Regulator - £0.60
    IC Chip - £0.38

    The diode had taken out two traces so I have repaired them with some IDE ribbon cable

    And guess what it now works :) I even have voltage going to the little bulb at the coin slot.

    12.1V going in 5.03V coming out

    Accepting coins and adding credit.

    Well done - I have to say I think you were lucky, though. When you said you had 12V on the output of the regulator I was fully expecting that 8748/9 to have been blown up. Maybe the blown track stopped the power from getting to it.
