Hey guys, was looking up some information on betas and demos and I stumbled across this: http://www.crimson-ceremony.net/lostreleases/item.php?id=shdemo_ps2-jpn-pptwo02 As it says in the link it's a demo disc that came from a subscription magazine as part of Sony's Playstation Club, it's know to contain a special trailer for Silent Hill 2 and the second Japanese trial edition of Devil May Cry 1 (the part that interests me, I own the first trial edition already) I've looked around and have seen requests for this even on this very site, and while it's information does show up on redump which I assume means someone somewhere has it in order to get the hash data, there seems to be no dumps online at all, so I'm wondering just how rare is this thing? Either way I found a copy on Japan's Yahoo Auctions that just went up less than a week ago and managed to snag it for cheap as the only bidder, going to be a long wait to ship from Japan so I thought I'd ask if anyone else has it or any more information while I wait.
Lost is just the section of his website, doesn't mean it's rare. This ISO is part of the redump set and can be found at romshepherd either requesting it via the forum, or their torrent site (which requires seeding). There are still plenty of PS2 Demos missing from redump.org (and Japanese games), feel free to help out if you have any missing ones though.
@MBMM The reason the Silent Hill 2 trailer is the only mentioned contents is not that it is special, but that my website "Lost Releases" is only about horror games. It's just a common trailer, though I cannot remember which one. Anybody who are into SH have seen it before, surely. Also, all the Purepure demos can be found quite easily on Japanese auction sites, nothing rare.
It's been a while, took me some time to check the discs. I uploaded the Silent Hill teaser. It's very short and not that interesting.
Sorry I never got back to this, but thanks for providing the teaser anyway, I got a copy so I could finish my DMC demo collection. That wasn't very interesting either, very similar to the american demos sadly.
