I thought it's sort of fun if you like Luigi's Mansion (which I do, completed the game again last year!). I played it a few times in Tokyo this year. I took some pics of the cab & interior, can upload them sometime later in this thread if there's interest.
OK, but that's kind of irrelevant to the question of if a game is first person or not - put in the simplest terms, a game is first person if the game camera is positioned where the eyes of the character you are controlling would be. Third person is an external viewpoint like a side or chase camera. I suspect the gun was put in the field of view in the early FPSes simply to make it clear that it was a first-person view, since this was unusual at the time. Second person would be from the POV of the people the protagonist was interacting with - but since in most games the "interaction" involves killing them this isn't terribly popular.
Yea, Yea, I'm not seeing why Americandad is getting his panties all tied on a bunch over this. The term "first person" is absolutly correct in this case and it predates all forms of video games, anyway.
Lol I wear trousers fyi. Not panties. I'm simply being righteously stubborn. Nobody says "fp". Yakumo just did. And he's the only person on the planet.
I didn't actually play it, only my son did. To be honest it looked a bit dull as the action is not so intense. I guess this game is aimed towards kids mind you.
