I have an American NTSC SNES. Currently, the only game I have for it is Mario no Super Picross (English: Mario's Super Picross) for the Super Famicom.

I used to be big into emulation and when I received Mario's Picross as a Club Nintendo 3DS reward, I looked up if there were any sequels. I stumbled upon this game and played it in ZSNES. I instantly loved it. When it came time for me to buy an SNES off of eBay (got a sweet deal on it), I looked up the games I wanted and found that this game was the only one that fit the budget.

I've been playing it ever since and have even completed the Mario levels. I think it's an awesome puzzle game that doesn't seem to get as much attention as Mario's Picross on the Game Boy (I have that on my 3DS). It has the same formula and even has some of the same music, except the music is 16-Bit instead of 8-Bit. Some of the pictures act like GIFs when you solve the puzzle.

So I was wondering what are your thoughts on Mario's Super Picross? Do you play it and enjoy it? Have you even heard of the Japan-only sequels to Mario's Picross?

Let me know by posting a reply to this thread.

When I get an HDMI capture device, I'll try do a review of it.

I have that game and play it on the portable SupaBoy. Though Mario Picross supports the SNES Mouse, it plays better with the regular SNES controller. Hold the button to mark a row of boxes while moving the Dpad versus clicking one box at a time with the mouse. I really like the Picross series, look for the Arcade version in Mame called Logic Pro and Logic Pro 2, now those games are very addicting!

I tried out the mouse in an emulator and your right, it is better with an SNES controller. I use a Super Famicom controller with my SNES and I thought about getting a SNES mouse for this game and Mario Paint. I guess I'll just get it for Mario Paint.

I had no idea there were arcade Picross games. I really want a MAME machine now. Where can I get one?

Pretty sure this game is on the Wii Virtual Console. I enjoy it and the 3DS picross games.

It's on the PAL Virtual Console and I believe the Japanese Virtual console as well, but not on the American Virtual Console. The only legal way I could play it was to buy the actual cart.

I was looking into the 3DS Picross e games and Picross DS a while ago. I'm thinking about getting them.

How much of it is in English? Are the menus in English like in Mario's Super Picross?

Check out videos on Youtube, but it's basically just more Picross. I didnt have an issue with the Japanese that is there.
