If it's true, you should provide changes of pants for everyone if you're going to post stuff like this.

At this moment, both games are exactly the same price...

    $202.50

Also, the original auction, that was quickly taken down, had both games...

The MMC1 board is a legit, but the MMC3 board is retail. I've never seen a sample where a retail board was rewired for EPROM. Doesn't mean it couldn't happen but I wouldn't buy it.

I think the labels actually help with provenance because empty development boards have been sold in the past.

On the SMB/DH/WCTM notice that the ROMs have 16-bit checksums on the labels
    PRG: (0/8/A)8FC
    CHR: 4A05

I compared them to a set of retail ROMs and they differ, but that doesn't mean a lot.

Could be alot of money for an empty board, or worse yet one with bit rot! Untested = buyer beware! (within reason of course, but in this case, beware in my opinion)

The rewired SMB2 looks fake as can be. I mean I guess anything is possible, but I'm sure Nintendo would have EPROM prototype MMC3 boards and not need to bend pins and dumb shit like that. The other one seems to be on a prototype/eprom board atleast.

Since there is written Sample on it, i think the Games on it are more or less final. It looks like these Boards where send to some Videogame magazines for review. Thats maybe why Nintendo doesnt wanted to send or use Dev Boards for it.

According to the TMNT proto auction he has too, the ex-Ninty employee has a storage container full of stuff, so there will be more protos to come!

Maybe it's just me, but I've always hated when people shorten words/names from Nintendo to 'Ninty' and University to "uni"....

It's Nintendo for God's sake, not Ninty

Uni's ok because it's UNIversity. Nintendo isn't NINTYendo, though, I'll grant you.

For what it's worth, I've never heard anyone in this country refer to Nintendo as "Ninty".
