I thought they fucked it up when they forced motion controls on it. I may be in the minority, but I'm getting sick of Nintendo shoving their gimmicks down our throats in the name of the "casual gamer". I want to move Link with a d-pad, thanks.
You only have yourselves to blame, you're the ones that went out and bought the Wii. No use crying about Casual gamers now.
I love Wii but I don't need bloody motion controls where they are not needed. NO racing game plays well with the motion controll apart from that Monster Trucks game that I've forgotten the title of now That works very well but all the others don't. Anyway, it's Mario Kart so I wouldn't be buying it anyway. Mario Kart games always cheat ! You can be miles ahead about to cross the finish line and what happens?....... A bloody shell rammed right up your arse ! Now if they brought Wangan Midnight Run 3 to the Wii I'd be camping out side to buy that. The latest pre order here though is Mario Galaxy. Did I pre-order it? Bollocks I did  Yakumo
well since you mentioned motion controls, I assummed you were talking about the motion controls in Twilight Princess. Because, you know, the DS doesn't have motion controls.
i m talking about the motorcycling indeed. it's called marioKART not mario-motor-crossing ffs. the graphics are also too gamecube-ish. cues should be taken from Super Smash Bros Brawl.
Excite Trucks was one of the best and most fun games ive played, well, ever probably........ But I tend to agree......theres always been a certain prescision in playing Mario Kart that i dont think will benefit in anyway from motion control.
There was a space between the two sentences noting two different thoughts going on. 1 was bitching about motion controls. 2 was bitching about gimmicks being shoved down peoples throats (Yes many DS games force gimmicks down people's throat instead of just using the classic d-pad setup). Thank god DS games have tone down the forcing of touch screen controls from what they were at first.[/COLOR] EDIT - Please don't use white text. Some of us can't see it.
Just be greatful you don`t have to whistle or blow to get your characters to move. Just because new technology has been implemented doesnt mean we want to completely change the way we play some types of games.
I guarantee you that motion controls will be an option, but not the only option. Mario Kart relies on precision, especially on 150cc. Motion Controls will be there for the grandma's and beginers, and that's fine... but there will be a classic controller or gamecube (or both) option, guaranteed.
