Off-topic is cruise control for cool. I don't know if the Kirby title is coming to the Wii though. I haven't heard anything about that one.
Yeah. I think Rare pumping 2 launch titles as well as Viva Pinata leaves hopes that rare will be a relavent force durring the 360 life cycle and not just something that magicaly pops up near the end. Regarding DKR, Its rareware. They kept all their handheld staff. There were rumors they would be swapping to pocket pc development but insted they've been keeping to GBA & DS titles. It's not really that suprising. Microsoft & Nintendo are far from enemys. --edit-- Oh fyi, It is well known (and anounced) that Super Paper Mario was delayed to be ported to Wii (ANGRY!!). Its assumed Kirby was also delayed to be wii bound. Other game I have no idea.
subbie my friend, you need to read this: http://www.theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=20547 as well as this: http://middaysoftware.com/MinhsBlogs/articles/223.aspx
That still does no equate into Microsoft & Nintendo being enemies. It is at his hands why the deal fell though. Everybody on NOA was on board and so was quite a bit of NOJ. I know this because my previous programming lead was from NOA (was one of the higher ups for 3rd party suport on handhelds).
Garlo I already gave my opinion on metroid hunters and why the engine wouldnt be enough for Halo's big outdoors levels, anyway... That's Halo wars, and since MS is already abusing the fanboys with that title they wont risk any sales making another one for the DS. On the other hand, I cant understand why MS doesnt releases a portable. Is that, the sole reason the DS is kicking ass and taking names is the PSP catalog sucks becos sony dont gives a crap about it and thinks a cool looking console with no games can beat an ugly one with a good number of great games. If they dont wanna loose more money on hardware they could make a licensee like the 3DO, so other companies would make it for them. After all, MS invented licensing, and look were it has been for the last 20 years...
in absolute business terms, no one is no one's enemy when it comes to making money. The old man however seems to have a veto power on the board, and ultimately he can use that power as was evident. Even though they may not be enemies, from nintendo's side (the owner) Microsoft is not well thought of.
Thats for sure, after all is they take a look at the similarities between the DC and Xbox (you can see those from space...) nintendo may think MS is into the deal just to know more about how to make a good portable. After all, look at the zune:110:
It was just someone on the 'net with too much time on their hands. Wired had no hand in its creation whatsoever. Someone put it together and posted it up on the net saying it was a scan of an upcoming issue and the rumor mills ran with it. It really is amazing what people will believe without taking the time to double check sources. -hl718 PS - The blog link you quoted even admits it's a fake. It's a good fake (whoever put it together obviously has both page layout and writing skill as they copied Wired's look and feel quite well) but a fake nonetheless.
Well, considering that I first took hear of this topic here, and indeed unlike the creators or other web-surfers, do not have much time on my hands to check its validity for myself, I appreciate that you pointed this out hl718, before I made myself more of a fool And indeed, I am an amazing person, not just because I believe without taking the time to double check sources thanks for the complement :icon_bigg
Anyways, don't usually liek to bring a topic back from the dead. But, apprantly Bunige has finally commented on this whole thing. See http://gonintendo.com/?p=17759
