May 21st is the day Microsoft puts up or shuts up

Its gonna take one heck of an exclusive to get me to buy a new console, or if the price to upgrade my PC to match the consoles performance is more than the console itself.

Still im more interested in Microsoft's console. Sony had a chance to strike first with their reveal, but all they could muster was more Killzone, more Infamouns, and a few other formetable titles. The best games were one coming to current gen console.

 

Sony already said it will play used games

As far as the WII U goes I'm getting one primarily for Bayonetta 2. Hopefully in the future platnium puts some good shit on the WII U but I also hear they're doing some PS4 exclusives. Also since I skipped the WII there will be all kinds of awesome games in it's backlog I can play from Sonic Colors to Mad World and Both No more Heroes. Plus Tatsunoko VS Capcom Muramasa and a few decent RPGs

 

Even before these events were happening, people were saying "PS4 is better" without seeing both units. So just wait and see. It's not like I'm excited for any new console at all though...

 

I've just reached my boiling point with Microsoft.

 

for the record no more heros had a wii release, im sure everyone is aware. edit: seen thats already addressed.

as for SEGA, what makes me think they're getting back into the hardware market? nothing, the comment was made in jest

also Forza = better than GT

the problem is microsoft are not making any nice noises, i assume we'll all know more as the xbox 360 / email tells us later on in may.

im not gearing up to pre order anything or grab them on launch. will wait and see.

 

I mean the the 360 port of no more heroes never made it to the states, and that pisses me off.

 

living in pal land im kinda used to getting shafted when it comes to international game releases.

i've still to get the no more heros games myself, my "need to play" backlog is stupidly long. i've just finished the original max payne lol

Which one? The Wii U still has a small chance but the Vita looks pretty dead in the water now. How long a system has been out doesn't have much to do with that, unless you also wanted to say the N-Gage was looking fine after less than a year.

If they run one video of some family jumping around and using kinect, its over and they've already lost to sony. If they keep it centered towards the hardcore gamers and the bro gamers who play COD all day, they may have a chance against sony.

 

How do you compare those two? They're completely different games.

 

I have to agree with most people that say Xbox is all shooters, everyone I know who owns one says "I play COD and its a better controller!!!" or something along those lines.

I own both consoles and am a huge RPG fan. PS3 is the system for the RPG players (Persona, Ni No Kuni (PLAY IF YOU HAVEN'T!!!), and a TON of others). But honestly...in the end PS4 and the next Xbox will be nothing but a system that is behind the times before it's even out...

In regards to Nintendo, I feel the Wii-u will do better as it goes on, look at the 3ds, it's starting to get some decent titles...finally but I don't know if it's enough for the everyday person...

The video game crash is coming...Or maybe it's just me I probably won't buy a xbox if it really needs always-online since I feel that a game that is unplayable in 10 years, is unplayable to me now. My money talks softly to Microsoft I know...or does it; look at Windows 8.1 bringing start button back...enough returns = results.

 

That still doesn't excuse the Ouya's shitty design: if they'd been halfway competent they wouldn't have to have a fan in what's essentially repackaged phone hardware.

 

The real winner in the next generation will be PC gaming. With both consoles having PC-derived hardware, PC ports will be easy and abundant. It's a good time for PC gaming.

The Vita does have more games than I would think it did. I think it's just lack of Promotion. I'm toying with the idea of getting a White PS3/Vita and telling people it's a Wii U

I'm feeling this too for some strange reason. Having been out of the PC scene for 5+ years I've recently just stepped back in and there's definitely an excitement around the platform.

I wish I could say the same for the console market. I dunno I just don't care anymore. When the PS3/360 were released I got all excited saying phrases like "fuck me look at that, that's amazing" now I'm just meh.

I kinda wish Sony had trolled their own show with "PSVita IS PS4, we're now developing solely for the handheld and bowing out of the home console market" mainly because I think the Vita is incredible, almost console quality gaming absolutely anywhere, it's the last system I got truly excited about and I'd love to see it really take off, sadly I think it's doomed to fail, if I were a developer right now I'd have a hard time convincing the person in charge of the books to let me spend some money on developing for it.

As for the new Xbox, I really can't think what they can do to step it up unless they've made Kinnect so good it can give blow jobs. Either way they won't be getting my money seeing as they've been charging me for Xbox live for six months despite me cancelling it a long long time ago. Every time I call them they say they'll stop it and their email system is constantly broken, it's pretty much theft M$, stop it.

 

I don't see the harm in buying/importing a game? Really is it THAT bad? They should be thankful that I'm PAYING for the game and not downloading it. They are getting my money, what's the big deal.

 

I agree. Importing is easy and affordable these days, not like back in the MD/SNES Era where you'd pay through the nose ordering a game via a slightly less than legit ad printed in the back of a magazine.
