So you take one crazy Brazilian company and one console with a slightly dodgy sound chip (sorry MD fans) and decide to make a music game...

I am actually getting tired of Tectoy, and I have been that way. Ever since they decided to say bugger all to the cartridges. And only go for "built in" games. Sorry for not sounding enthusiastic, but I would think it would have been awesome. If they took and made a cartridge slot again in the machines. But we can not all be pleased.

That's an impressive amount of songs for a cheapo console thingy actually. And you could do good things with the MD sound chip, just listen to Streets of Rage or Sonic 3..

It doesn't use the Megadrive soundchip for the guitar rythm game.

The N64 isnt exactly like? current gen?

TecToy "keeping the MegaDrive going with silly add ons where Sega failed"

I think it looks alright to be fair. Tectoy have been doing good stuff but i do agree the cart slot would be a welcome addition.

Well imagine for us Brazilian gamers... I'm tired and disgusted. Most gamers here hate Tectoy and their stupid products. Plus ever since they got rid of the cartridge input, the consoles are running emulators to play the games. Most games are terrible emulated, with sound issues, lag....

It's quite sad to remember that this is the same company that was fantastic during the Real Master System, Mega Drive and Saturn eras... From Dreamcast and on, it was just a shitty company making a terrible job to the gaming market.

They only "survive" because of the shit politics of gaming taxes (same as gambling machines). But now that Sony is gonna release the PlayStation products officialy down here (including producing here), plus Microsoft being on the market for some time, i bet their lobbyists will do everything to change that.

Johnny: it seems to me, you are agreeing with my statement ? cool, thanks man. Cause I still remember back when there was a cartridge slot in the systems, such as SMS and the MD from tectoy, and the slots worked !
    Those were the times.

    Yes, i agreed with you.

When they still made those with cartridge slot, the games used to run on real Master System and MegaDrive boards.

Now it's just an (shitty) emulator on a chip. And the price still is expensive.

How do you know? It would have been nice if it did. It would probably sound kinda like Rock 'n Roll racing.
