TRK: listen, I said . If you weren't trying to be funny (which I believe, you were). Then I would have called you a blatant racist prick. Wake the fuck up man. And read what I wrote, the correct way. I even apologised for my Danish joke. And I said, I have seen better humoristic shows about the Danish language, from Norway.

well, finland is cold, and if you go to northern finland it's even more cold.
though, the thing about being fine if you're down south (helsinki) is complete bullshit.
helsinki is on the seaside so if it's -15 celcius there and a tiny bit of wind, it instantly feels worse than -25 up there in lapland.

there are enough shops in helsinki to get your money burned i guess :p

what comes to people speaking english, generally everyone speaks it a bit atleast, but EVERY finnish person sucks at pronouncing english anything, so they all sound funny.

and no, people in helsinki do not speak finnish, they speak a very fucked up mix of finnish and swedish that is neither and cannot be deciphered by any mere human. if you know finnish words, do not say them to anyone in helsinki, they will not understand what you say :p (sarcasm, with a bit of truth innit.)

Guys, I know it is called Lapland, but let us show some respect to the indigenous people of that area. And called it Sami Country(or Sápmi

). Cause it is seen derogatory calling it Lapland, even though basically it is still called that some places. Yeah I know, me saying that is a bit weird. But my point is this, until very "recently" the Sami People were looked upon as sub-humans. Cause in the 1930´s the Sami kids were photographed naked by "photographers" (Sounds pretty iffy huh, aka, Der Master Race ? hmmm). My father told me that, no more than two hours ago. No I am not pointing any fingers. I am just stating, that Lapland, and the "Lapp People" is now seen as derogatory. So I ask out of respect to the Sami People, that we should stick either calling it Sami Country or Sápmi.

Mugi, and TRK :) do carry on with the real discussion :)

Well, you were the guy who had those Swedish punk lyrics in your signature, so I believe you are provocative which is okay. I remember you and I had a conversation about that. And there you explained to me, why you had those lyrics in your signature. But those lyrics were without a doubt blatantly off coloured , if I have to diplomatic about it. But no people are below other people , in my mind anyway. But I discuss differences between people, without prejudice. Cause I am well aware of my own flaws, and strengths.

About Swedish Finns, I actually met an extremely sweet Swedish Finn, two days ago. And her Swedish was Swedish , and her English kicked arse :-D In fact , her English was better than mine. And that says a lot . Cause I am no dummy, when it comes to the English language.

You appear to have a very good command of the English language, indeed, but you often seem to be unable to determine when others are being sarcastic or playful.

Still surviving at those freezing temperatures is no small feat! While my entire country is panicking over a bigger than normal snow storm...
