Contest time - You Sega fans really love your Mega Drive tunes! I had hundreds of entries in to last weeks contest. So many in fact that I couldn't write back to everyone. Sorry about that. Many of you gave the correct answers to the first and third songs however an awful lot of you had no idea what the second song was. The answers were as follows:

Site NEWS May 24th 2009 - A whole new section (Sort of) comes to Segagaga Domain this week with all Saturn sample discs having their own little section. There's also a load of new sample disc additions - Code R - Donpachi - Fighting Vipers - Lunar Silver Star Story - Shutokou Battle '97 - Street Fighter Collection - Tengai Makyou IV - Virtual On and Wizardry VI & VII. Not only that But I've also added the Satakore version of Rockman X4 to the Saturn section.

All the new moves added to the Sega Saturn Movie Vault this week all have a Virtua Fighter theme, we have Virtua Fighter - Virtua Fighter Remix - Virtua Fighter 2 and Virtua Fighter GC Portrate Collection Volume 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 and 10.

Contest time - Ah, it seems that this week's Mega Drive turn was a tough one. Not many of you managed to get this one right. Many of you seemed to think it was from a Bare Knuckle game and I can understand why but just take a look at what it was really from. I'm sure you'll be surprised!

Site NEWS June 1st 2009 - Not too much on the way of updates this week however there are a few nice items to check out. For Mega Drive I've added Out Runners and Atomic Robo Kid. The Sega Saturn section sees the addition Mahjong Taikai II Special. And finally there's 5 new movies added to the Dreamcast's Movie Vault - 18 Wheeler - Aero Dancing Todoroki Taicho no Himitsu Disc - Baldr Force EXE - Bangaioh and Bio Hazard Code Veronica Complete.

Contest time - It looks like you guys and girls found last weeks contest a little tough which surprised me. The track was from The House of the Dead (Stage 2). Only a few of you got the correct answer with many of you thinking the song was from Vampire Hunter or Vampire Savior, which I can understand. Anyway, a big congratulations goes out to Konsolkongen from Denmark. Konsolkongen (Danish for console King, apparently) win's himself a lovely copy of Grandia Prelude.

NEW WEBSITE!

It's the site I've been working with the member Tchoin for the last year. You'll notice the wiki is still a bit empty (I've been a bit busy with college lately), but the idea is to make an encyclopedia about consoles, rarities and oddities related to gaming world, as well as reviews of old and rare games, in both English and Spanish (some sections will be only in Spanish since are translated from websites in English).

Everyone is invited to join the forums, we'll need some population if we want to make them interesting

Site NEWS July 20th 2009 - So how do you like the new look front page? Yes, I know it's pretty much the same but at least it looks a little more pleasing to the eye. Staying with the new updates, my on-line game show, Retro Core is coming back in a one off summer special this August!! Check outt he trailer over at the official Retro Core home Page.

I've added Waraou Salesman to t he Mega CD section this week along with cleaner scans for Popful Mail and Yume Miyakata No Monogatari. There are also 2 new Dreamcast additions being the very rare EXTRA Cawaii! and DUX.

Finally two technically impressive Saturn game videos for you to watch. The first is from the 60fps light sourced with shading fighter, Savaki with the second from the fully 3D 60fps space shooter, Stellar Assault.

 

I think you put in the wrong description for the EXTRA Cawaii!, Yakumo. ^_^

 

oh bugger. I'll have to fix that but it will have to wait a day or two.

 

Site NEWS July 27th 2009 - No new game updates this week but I have fixed the description for EXTRA Cawaii for the Dreamcast. Talking about Dreamcast there's also a few new videos added to the Dreamcast Movie Vault. These include De la Jet Set Radio, Dynamite Deka 2, es, EXTRA Cawaii, F1 World GP 2 for Dreamcast, Toyota Doricatch Series - Gaia and Toyota Doricatch Series - Land Cruiser

 

Site NEWS August 8th 2009 - You may or may have not noticed but the Retro Core Summer Special is now out!! Jam packed with retro gaming goodness and a trip down to Manga Soko, a massive used games store as well as other stuff. Get the Retro Core Summer Special 2009 from the official page right here.

Game updates this month only include Angelique Special Premium Pack for the Saturn but I've also added a load of new movies to the Dreamcast's Movie Vault starting off with the graphical showcase Ferrari 355 Challenge as well as Fighting Vipers 2 - Frame Gride - Garou Mark Of The Wolves - Gekka No Kenshi final edition - Gigawing - Golf Shiyouyo 2 - Grandia 2 - Gunbird 2 and Gundam E.F.F Vs Zeon & DX.

After the massive hard drive crash I had that threw the competition in to a mess, the winners will all be happy to know that their prizes have finally been sent. This means I can now get started on a whole new contest.
