Sorry, it looks like I've been posting to the wrong part of the forum... I thought 'Member's articles and news' was to post news about our sites - sorry, my bad. I operate a website called Video Game Den (http://www.videogameden.com) where I review (among other things) Famicom/Super Famicom/PC Engine games. I thought that some of you might like to know about the site weekly updates, which I'll post here. Please don't hesitate to let me know what you think, or if there are games you'd like to see reviewed, or manuals you'd like to see included. The latest addition is Metal Jack (Super Famicom). I have also included the scan of a rare promotional sheet of the unreleased American SNES version. Yo ! Yakumo, I look forward for the new RETRO CORE !!!! Segaga rules !!!!!!
@yakumo I've got a proposition for the Movie Vault section: Could you add a link to the respective info page? Everytime I watch a video I end up searching for quite a time until I found it. And I'm very much looking forward to the new retro core! core gaming at its best @lkermel Your page offers a really wide range of information but doesn't drown the reader in lengthy reviews. I really like the style and the diversity of featured games. Keep up the good work - this site has officially been bookmarked
That's actually on the "to do" list. At the moment I'm adding links to the videos on the main game info pages. This is taking a long time but slowly getting there. Once this is done cross reference from the video page to the game info page will also be added. Actually the next set of videos I'll add this next weekend will have cross reference links : thumbsup:
Site NEWS July 19th 2010 - Do you remember a few weeks ago when I told you about the brand new video encoding software I'd started using allowing me to have 720 x 480 progressive scan videos here at Segagaga Domain without any real increase in file size? Well it just got better thanks to a brand new RGB splitter I made. Now the videos will look even sharper than ever. Still not as sharp as the original captures because the videos need to be de-interlaced for the net but still much sharper than previous videos and much better than the stuff on YouTube. Anyway, to kick off this new level in quality I have the following new Saturn videos - Pocket Fighter - Sailormoon SuperS and Tohshinden S. Plus 24 updated Saturn videos - Digital Dance Mix now showing both songs in full - Galaxy Fight - Garou Densetsu 3 - Goiken Muyou Anarchy in the NIPPON - Groove on Fight - Golden Axe the Duel - Last Bronx - Marvel Super Heroes - Marvel Vs Street Fighter - Mortal Kombat II - Ninku - Pretty Fighter X - Primal Rage - Rabbit - Shinouken - Sokko Seitokai Sonic Council - Street Fighter Collection - Street Fighter Real Battle on Film - Street Fighter Zero - Street Fighter Zero 2 - Street Fighter Zero Dash - Suiko Enbu 1 - Suiko Enbu 2 and The King of Fighters '97. I've also updated the Saturn "G" & "H" sections to the new format as well as cleaning up the text and errors. Not only that but the movie pages now have links to game information from which the movie is taken. So far I've only managed to add the new feature to all of the newly added movies and about 20 others. Over time all movie pages will have links to the game information and vice versa. NEW RETRO CORE!!! Is coming in August this year. Again it will be a one off summer special. This years theme is Sega Saturn 1 on 1 fighters. You'll be surprised just how many there are on the Saturn. Enough even to make the Neo Geo blush!

Added a video of an early version of Shutokou Battle (DC) to Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rjw7eBKYldA
Now that is early. Loads missing from it. It would be cool to actually play these versions but we'll probably never get the chance. yakumo
Site NEWS August 29th 2010 - Oh yeah, more Saturn movies added this week plus a nice little feature on a rare Mega Drive game. Right, on with this week's Saturn movies additions - DX Jinsei Game 1 - DX Jinsei Game 2 - Terra Cresta 3D - Tetris Plus - Tetris S - The Battle of the Iron Chef - The Conveni - The Crow - The Horde - The Hyper Golf - The Tower - The Unsolved - Theme Park and Thor Seireiohkiden. Last week on Yahoo Auctions there was a prototype of one of the most sort after Mega Drive games ever. Tetris is the game in question. Now you may be thinking that Mega Drive Tetris is pretty common. Well, to tell the truth it's very likely that EVERY copy of Tetris you've ever seen is a pirate cartridge hacked version of the original. The original Mega Drive Tetris was completed and even produced but at the very last minute before the game was to be put on sale a major problem cropped up with the Tetris license giving Nintendo exclusive rights to the game. This resulted in all made copies being destroyed apart from one crate. It's said that there are only 10 copies of the real Mega Drive Tetris in existence. So if there are only 10 copies of the final made cartridge with box and instructions, just how many copies are there of the prototype? Maybe only 1? It just so happens that I was the middle man for the Tetris Prototype auction so here are some lovely scans just for you!
Site NEWS August 4th 2010 - What's this? New Dreamcast game additions? No, it can't be!! Oh yes it can! I found a box of games I had completely forgotten all about. Probably because they're mostly girly dating simulations and adventure games. But the good news is that Segagaga Domain actually gets a Dreamcast update after so many months. So to start off these few weeks of new Dreamcast additions I have the following games - Air - Atelier Marie & Elie - Candy Stripe and Ever 17. Saturn owners don't feels sad. You too have updates this week. Today sees the addition of the Blue Breaker Sample disc. Plus we've got the standard selection of new Saturn movies added. This week sees the additions of Steamhearts - Steeldom - Steep Slope Sliders - Strahl - Striker '96 - Strikers 1945 - Strikers 1945 II - Suchie Pai Heart Throbbing Nightmare - Super Keirin - Super Real Mahjong P.V - Super Real Mahjong P.7 - Super Puzzle Fighter II X and Super Robot Taisen F Final. Next week Dreamcast fans will be happy to know that I'll be adding a few new Dreamcast game movies. ENJOY !
Site NEWS September 9th 2010 - Just a quick update to let everyone know that Segagaga Domain will have some off line time within the next 72 hours while the DNS Hostnames are changed to the new server. From this coming week the whole of Segagaga Domain will be hosted on one server. At the moment then main site is hosted with Brinkster while the videos are all hosted at Dreamhost. Soon everything will be at Dreamhost. There are a number of reasons for the move. First of all I can't afford the two servers anymore which is a shame. Brinkster have served me well over the last 7 years so a big thanks to them. The second reason for moving are all those people who think it's fine to leach images from my site. Of course some people don't understand that bandwidth cost money so see no harm in doing so however the majority of people who link to files know dam well. Once on Dreamhost there'll be no more image leaching. Once the change over is complete (Fingers crossed I don't mess it up) Dreamcast fans can sit back and enjoy a few new movies. Also this week marks the US Dreamcast's 11th birthday. We aren't celebrating that though. If there's any Dreamcast birthday celebrations to be had it's going to be the main one on November 27th. That will mark the first release of the Dreamcast (in Japan) 12 years ago. Expect to see some lovely Dreamcast videos plus a load of Dreamcast game adds all in lovely 720x480 resolution. ENJOY !
Site NEWS September 12th 2010 - Well, it looks like the change over of servers and the DNS nameserver has gone to plan. Actually the DNS change over only took a few hours. Normally it can take up to 72 hours. So as promised, here are a few new Dreamcast movie additions. Sorry to those wanting some action titles, maybe in the future. For now though, let's get this box of girly adventure games that I found in the storage room out of the way. So this week sees the additions of Air - Atelier Marie & Elie - Candy Stripe - Canvas - Daisessen: Tsushin Taisen Logic Battle and Ever 17. More videos will be on the way next week. ENJOY !
