No shit, since she's a trained opera singer. She also hasn't been their singer in several years, not that it matters because Nightwish has always sucked.
Holy shit, I had no idea. This was going to be mighty cock fight about what group was metal, and hard enough and stuff like that. Butt fuck it ! have fun raging about different kinds of metal. While I am going to listen to some great music instead.
Had no clue since I listen to the stuff with the traditional drums, fast pace, and bass guitar. I stand corrected, BROTHER OF METAL! LET THE METAL WAR RAGE ON!!! Another personal favorite that describes my mental state perfectly:
No arguing. I just pointed out how annoying nightwish is to me. When it comes to female singer in metal the awesome Angela is DA SHIT! MegaDeth is awesome to listen with a bunch of hot girls around you
veggav: the reason why I liked Nightwish was because of Tarja, now they have just become what I dread, a Evanescence like band. With some wannabe rockstar lady as their lead singer. Tarja, to me made Nightwish magical in comparison to just a "metal" band with a chick or chicks in it. The other part, I loved about them, was you had to read the lyrics, to some times understand what that (to me) hot lady sang. Now they just have a "rock mama" instead. Anette, does a lovely job, of singing so you can hear what the lyrics are about. But Nightwish had the edge with Tarja, because she could fucking high notes, without sounding like a "screamer". Now they have a female who , if she tried the same hight of tones. She would be a "screamer". So if you ask me, then with the new lead singer (Anette). I would rather enjoy some "true metal" (glam metal). Which Manowar , and the German band Metal Force (formerly known as Majesty). Or some old school metal from Iron Maiden (yeah those fucking rock in my mind). I have a live DVD (with a CD album) combined where Majesty played this song. But as other people have noticed , there are so many genres of music I like. So I can really enjoy some awesome music. Hell I usually say I like everything from Heavy Metal to classical music. Which means, I could have a long discussion about music, over a pint of beer or joint if you prefer that. Yeah, it is probably weird, but me a "former" (I had my hair cut some time ago, again ) metal head likes trance techno, jazz , rock, pop, Irish folk songs, and a metric fuck load of other genres and groups and so forth, and well. I can go on with what I like. Anyway I love music. And I fell in love with the metal genre , when I heard the album Kings Of Metal, but before that. I listened to D-A-D (Yakumo-sama knows this band) (formerly known as Disneyland After Dark), Guns'n Roses, and a tiny bit of Metallica. But after I heard Kings Of Metal I was sold on melodic metal, and stuff like that. But I still listened to the old classics, like Kim Larsen, and other Danish 80ś music. Heck I even love the Danish hip hop group Rockers By Choice, and if you meet me. We could have an awesome talk, and you could meet one of my mates, who is probably the biggest metal fan, I know. he is so fucking awesome. That we could have a great time talking about music. With him too.
I have to agree. Tarja is what I really liked about Nightwish, she has an amazing voice. I'm not much a fan of Opera but I love the gothic tone she adds to the metal tracks, it's really unique and the power of her voice really suits the genre. This is probably my favourite Nightwish song.
Hey Sonik, yeah I saw the thread some time ago but I'm not much into brazilian metal. Even enjoying Sepultura I don't like it much. The books tells the story of metal in Brazil only or it covers the international scene?
Growling is really not my cup of tea, and it makes me laugh. But this song, and video is melodic and fucking awesome. So there are exceptions to the rule
I know of a hot lady who has taken loads of photographs of these guys(yes she knows them), and not just that. She speaks so many languages, including Danish (MUCH better Prince "Henrik") But other than that, she introduced me to these fellows. Yes they sing in Swedish, and they are from Germany, if I am not mistaken. But damn that is a nice heavy song, and bloody melodic (we need a headbanging smiley)
