Oh god no. The PSP's Dpad sucks remember? Just use a GC controller or PSX to GC adapter of some kind to use a real controller. While it's cool to have portable Metal Slug, the controls on the PSP are sub-par.

Someone hasn't used a neo geo emu on the psp before. Metal slug is fine. If you need better, get the SFz3 add on d-pad, it makes the PSP pad more like the saturn.

I have and it's not "fine" (granted I don't have the joystick cap, which could make a world of difference).

sucks. It's fine for me on metal slug. Street fighter is a whole nother issue.

The capcom or tekken add on d-pad make a world of difference tho. There is also a pack out there you can buy (brando is the maker?) that is suposetly also very good.

I sure hope we can play Metal Slug on the Wii the "normal" way. "d classics like that don't need the fancy controlls. They are perfect the way they are. When I get my Wii this is a must have title !

I thought I posted here yesterday, anyway...

Look awesome indeed, but the Wii control scheme, even being pretty handy, may get kinda annoying if you play too much.

I wonder if you can use that classic style pad from the virtual console...

This is already known. You can use a regular GameCube controller which also means via adapters you could use any previous controller or even a custom arcade stick built yourself.

NOw that it great news !!! I wonder if the Sega Saturn looking USB pads will work on it? I love the Japanese Saturn pad over any other pad ever (The ASCII SFC pad is good though). Does anyone knwo if you can use USB pads on the Wii?

Considering this is Nintendo we're talking about Mark, I would answer to the negative. Someone might have to do a hack similar to what they did to the 360 in order to plug-in native Saturn controllers.

I mean the Saturn controllers that were made for the PC. THey look identical to the Saturn originals but use USB so they work on a PC. If the Wii has or will have a USB port they may work.

if you can run applications on the wii, sure, everything is possible. Let's hope some licensee goes for such an approach though.

The PS2 and 360 also have USB ports, but I haven't seen any official support for USB controllers - as such i wouldn't expect anything to come out of that thought, that's all.
