In case people don't know, "Neverland" was repossessed, that's why all this stuff is for auction.

Large truck, a few extra $$$ in my pocket and that Naomi stuff would be coming home. Shame it's in the States.

I've just looked through the entire auction catalogue. That's some pretty amazing / rather freaky stuff he has there. I mean, what's the deal with all the full size models of random people (butlers, maids etc)?

I assume he brought all the cabs brand new direct from Sega/Capcom/Konami etc, so they should be in lovely minty condition, I would hope.

What I want to know is where the Elephant Man's bones are. MJ did own those didn't he?

From the fairly low res pictures if you zoom into the auction brochure, I don't think these are mint at all. Several cabinets seem to have control panel overlay buckling and who knows what condition the monitors and control panels are in. I think I'm gonna stop by to check it out, even though it's $20 to get in, plus another $25 to register as a bidder.

Wow, thats funny. Looks like he got a private Arcade or something with all those Cabs and Displays.

Well why not, if I had the money I'd get one myself :p

    Haha ;-)
Sorry friend. I have to give it a shot. The auction is about a 20-30 minute drive from where I live so it wouldn't be any problem picking it up if I were to win. I have no idea what to expect in terms of bidding. Things could get really crazy I suppose.

    Yeeheeeee!!
The prices seem really good. Still they need some cleaning from Jacko's powdered skin.

...The singer no longer considers the ranch a home, believing the 70 police officers "violated" it.....

I could make some pretty crass comments about that, but shall refrain!

All pedophile jokes aside. I have to admire the overall vision and detail put into his estate. The place is just incredible. It really must have been like living on the grounds of an amusement park.

One has to wonder if it was ever feasible to keep the place indefinitely though. The upkeep and even just the property taxes alone on such a place must be astronomical.

He probably could have kept it if he wasn't, you know, insane. Did you see that TV special on him a few years back? Even with all the stuff he has, he's an out-of-control spender; he would just go to high-end stores and start buying random 6-figure items on a whim. And let's not forget all the legal bills he's racked up :eek:h:
I bet if MJ had just sat back and lived a quiet uncontroversial life collecting his royalties (and the Beatles') he could have spent the rest of his life in Neverland.

This is one situation where you don't need help. You can register on-line and bid there. They will even ship to you using various services listed on the auction company site. Having said that, I kinda doubt any of these items are gonna go for cheap since I know at least a couple other collectors who are going to the auction in person.

John Merrick's bones are currently where they always have been, in a medical museum in London. There were rumors he offered money for the remains, but the museum definitely never sold them to him.
