Microsoft has announced they will have a bundle for Xbox One that removes the Kinect feature

    http://news.xbox.com/2014/05/xbox-delivering-more-choices

We are a long ways away from that initial announcement last year when everything was about pleasing their ESPN partners and creating that great TV kinect browsing experience. They pulled the no Used game feature from Xbox One before launch but pulling out the Kinect feature is a huge back pedal from where they were last year.

So much for yelling at Xbox One to check those trending sports scores so you can dominate at your fantasy football league while playing Call of Duty.

to little, too late M$.. (and what's to stop em like the greedy sods they are backtracking on their word/EULA? not like it hasn't happened before?!)
don't trust them, especially what the founder of the corporation is doing in other countries...not funding ANY of m$'s globalist plots...digressing!
    ....
thanks for bringing it to light all the same! :friendly_wink:

Still too much. Xbone is a much less powerful than PS4.

They're also letting people use Netflix and other services without the need of a Gold license.

    Common sense at last.

Still no plans to buy one. I honestly think the Wiiu will turn out to be a better system then the xbone will be.

The biggest upcoming games for the Wii U don't even use the worthless gamepad, if they don't dump that fucking thing like the Xbone did to the Kinect it'll be even deader than it already is.

Yeah, they do...for the 3DS. For the Wii U they only mostly make crap like Nintendo Land, Game & Wario, the newest New Super Mario Bros. rehash and a full-priced port of a 10-year-old Zelda. Combine this with a useless peripheral pushing up the price and you've got one shitty system. Mario Kart 8 is guaranteed to also be shit just like Mario Kart Wii, but I'm sure some children and terminally stupid people will buy it just like MKW.

Yes, MKW was shit, but MK7 was pretty good. Though I do not think it will beat Sonic Racing Transformed as a complete package.
New Zelda worth to me more than any announced xbone exclusives combined.

@riki previous statement going to defer to better judgement and chalk that up to fanboy drivel and factless anecdotal malarkey as one there is no definitive facts other than a few tech outlets who are bias towards PS4 and Microsoft hasn't fully revealed every detail about the xbox one hardware not saying there is something hidden in there just that Xbox One has a different architecture than the PS4 and using last Gen Dev Tools is no means a reliable measurable . As for the Moneyhat statement if you are alluding to that fact that "Only" Microsoft does this and not Sony then by god you clearly do not live in reality.

My feelings towards this is good for those that want an Xbox One without Kinect a for me I don't feel cheated that I bought the Xbox one for a $100 more as I like using the Kinect and for others their mileage may vary. For me the lineup of games that are coming up within a year or so are so much more compelling IMO and if even if half of the supposedly leaked E3 list of games are real than I'm a happy camper. I mean battletoads (please be true), Shenmue sequal something (Please be true also), upcoming Halo, Gears,Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break are games that are more than enough to justify my purchase. :)

Yeah, and that game actually uses the gamepad too, unlike MK8! What a novel idea.

Considering every Zelda since Wind Waker has sucked (haven't played Link Between Worlds yet, though), not worth holding your breath for that.

Oh and riki before you call me a Xbox fan (which I am haha) who dislikes Nintendo (Which I don't) I'll post some NES love just rub it into your Bias Nintendo nature and make you gasp ohhhh how can an xbox fanboy have so much Nintendo related games it's because I'm a "Video Game" fan not a "Fanboy". Check my collection link Riki and be enlightened. :)

That's a good move for them, but still not enough to convince me to buy one (even if I could afford one right now, which I can't). I still like the design of the PS4 more - I think the Xbox One is kind of ugly. The PS4 is also supposedly more powerful, as others have already noted. This may all start to matter once there are actually some good games, but right now there really isn't much to choose from.

Speaking of next-gen (current-gen?) consoles, I played Resogun on a kiosk the other day, and I really enjoyed it. The graphics were impressive, and the gameplay was simple but very fun. Of all the games I've seen on the new systems, it's the only one I really enjoyed.

Maybe Ill skip this gen :p (or wait till septemer when the XO comes to NL officialy (Finaly) and maybe... just maybe buy one... or nothing at all)
Dont have a PS4, WiiU or Xo, dunno, no great games, no fun apps. My PS2, X360 and Phone works nice, also a nice laptop :D

Its funny, nintendo could have launched what became the wiimote for the GC, it was designed for it after all, but they knew dev support wouldn't be the same so they relaunched that console with the wiimote as default controller and it sold like cocaine in miami

The biggest mistake M$ made with the kinect was not making it a bundle with every X360 from then on, and the biggest mistake its doing now is lowering the price by axing the kinect entirely.

You know how many devs are going to support kinect now? none. The xbone is still a terrible value compared to the PS4 because that one is indeed more powerful. M$ shoulda kept the kinect and lower the price anyway

That company is losing way more money with those stupid surface nobody buys

As for the Wii U pad, they aren't abandoning it. Iwata just said that the upcoming games for E3 will make use of the pad so that it stands out from the other consoles. I think Iwata is sinking that company.

Seriously I would sell my Wii U if they just ported Wonderful 101 to PS4. I'm keeping it because I may want to replay that one.

As for Kinect being dropped, Harmonix who made Dance whatever is not happy. I think it is a good move on microsoft's part but should have come with a price drop to $299. Also it needs a redesign because it still looks like a TV box which was its original function mostly.

Well that is certainly a step in the right direction. It still looks ugly though. I honestly was hoping there would be a game I really wanted to play on the PS4 because I think the console looks awesome and I want one in my house. I just need a reason. Haha.

This won't change many people's minds anyway, it's still expensive and has little support.
