Easily the best Mark III I've ever seen, but also probably the most mint older system I've ever seen. It feels like it was just pulled right out of the shipping box:
my hard off, right around the edge, sells a mint SG-1000 for 12'000! what you think about that price?
I don't think they have much of an impact in Sapporo though... heck, even right outside Tokyo prices go way down from Akihabara.
Hey, I just thought it was cool. I've never seen a system that old that nice before. Looks like it touched a nerve for some?
lol....Eric just said the system was mint and the tirade of price comments came flowing!....just as well he didn't say something controversial...;-) Personally I'm impressed by the box alone.....looks like it's just out of the factory. It's damn hard to store boxes so perfect, bubble wrap is the best solution..... Anyone got an decent screen shots of games for it?....searched google but got mixed images..
I didn't mean it as a retort, I don't know much about Sega stuff being mostly Nintendo so the price I saw in Sapporo is what I thought the going rate was as I'd not seen one of them before. Just good luck really, I almost picked it up for a mate but instead found a Wondermega for less than half that. I think your one is more minty and mine is more looked after by the shop but it does show how ridicuous the pricing is. Tourists don't often venture out to Otaru to make games purchases I think and over all the shop was quite cheap, I got minty new GC D cables for less than 1000yen. Out of curisoity, where did you find that mint fresh MKIII?
basically it's nothing more than a western Sega Master System in technical aspects. so if you wanna see some nice screenies, search for that one, you will get a lot more hits
If only they kept most of there American retro stuff in this good of condition. I don't even want go into the horror stories of the condition I find most 64's in.
That console and box sure are minty though. It takes a lot of hard work to find something in such condition. As for price, stay away from places where tourists may go then you'll find nice deals. My mint Master System was only 4800 yen yet I've seen them for well over 10'000 yen is shitty condition in the tourist spots. Yakumo
Well even in the same shops you can get different prices. That's the frustrating thing... A complete Neo Geo CD system for 2,000 yen? Cool. Right next to it is just the console only with no wires or controllers....for 4,000 yen.
Seeing as I can't read Japanese I often wondered why the price difference and supposed it to be something more serious. I still remember seeing a pair of PC Engine Lite's with 10,000yen difference and no obvious reason, not even any Japanese for me not to read.
super potato was such a spezialist (< had to write that one with "z", coz some strange spam filter) in the earlier days. the same game one w/o spine and evry shaby condition and just next to the same as super mint complete as new for about 30% cheaper.
Sometimes it looks like they have reduced the price of a game but the old copies still have the old prices. Once I picked up a game that had Y1480 but it scanned in as Y980.
