"The idea that somebody might look at the Revolution controller and think, 'Oh, this is too much for me' is something that I would really regret. That is something I would love to avoid if I can," says Miyamoto. Should`ve done that with the DS:smt082 "The controllers for this generation do not look fun to use. You don't look at any of the controllers and think, 'Wow, I want to play [with] this.' You look at these controllers and think, 'Oh my God, it looks so difficult.' That scares people away. I think that when ppls sees todays pads they ratter think "I`ve seen this crap already" "Actually, at Nintendo, we're not even sure which is better. Is the + control pad the better way to, go or is the analog stick the better way to go? I haven't really been able to decide which is best." I think this dude its OD:smt009 + instead of analog? give me a break:smt067 And no, he didnt say shit about the actual pad:-D
Nah. It'll be a 2600 pad. Big clunky stick and one button. D-Pads are too complicated . Anywhom, I hope that the pad is as good as its hyped up to be. Having had a play on a gyroscopic mouse this week, I hope this technology is implemented into the pad - It has a lot of potential
no mather how much button will be removed from the controller, there will still be people who won't understand or will think it's complicated. I have one of those Coleco ''mini-arcade'' donkey kong, you know, the little thing with two colors that needs four C bateries? well, ALL of my friends who saw it / where intersted in it to the point to try it so far asked how you could jump, after losing a life, or just before starting. ''hey, there's one button, and it's written ''JUMP'' bellow it'' :smt043 I don't understand what mystical force make them dumb when touching the arcade, but it always make me laugh, and always hapenned so far. i could predict it. Funny, especially when you consider most of them are playing games like halo and gta, with controllers that have like 17 buttons and none of them have words bellow them describing what they do, or those who do have words actually have false ''advertising'' (''Select'' and ''start'') :smt042
Code: Reality= Hype - Hype ________________ Hype This means that Hype is what it is, so in order to get the reality you need to erase it from the equation. But hype also make things more disapointing, more the hype is big, more you'll be disapointed, hence why you need to divide Hype from the Equation. In other words, hype is bad and auto-destructive. The more you hype something, the more people will be disapointed. In other other words, Hype is negative. But rules are made to be broken , so you can always hope.
Ah, I've only heard of the first, second, and third law of Thermodynamics. I didn't know there were anymore
We need a digital and analogue pad. Analogue pads are no good for fighting games or 2D platformers or 2D shooters. I love the Dreamcast's pad with games like Dead or Alive because you actually have to use the analogue and digital while playing. This may sound crazy but is in fact very easy and feels so natural. Yakumo
the controler will just be one large button you use by smashing your forehead into. a 4-way directional pad can be analog without any change to gameplay or control. nintendo should just fire this guy.
meh i cant comment much, until i see the controller. i can say i agree with yakumo, the dc pad wasnt that bad, and i was able to pull of most moves in a fighting game.
I always thought the DC pad felt too brittle. Especially if it didn't have a VMU in it. Like it would break in my hand or crack if I held it too tight. Also the d-pad and stick were just a little too high up on the controller for my taste.
I see no reason to complain about the Revolution controller when we don't know anything about it yet. Complain about the PS3 controller. It's only new functionality is the ability to be used as a boomerang.
