MoonTar's Xbox Console Collection....so far

That's sorta what I was thinking is someone swapped the green parts from another console, sadly. However, you could find another predated console that you could "turn" into a LT easily since those are extremely difficult parts to find. I have a functional predated console somewhere that has warranty seal intact.

For clarification, when I say predated, I'm referring to dated prior to launch.

The consoles themselves were given to US and UK teams afaik. The faceplates were given away to other lesser important peeps in the launch teams. Again, afaik since Xbox wasn't huge in Japan when the OG launched, my feeling is there wasn't anything special done for the Japanese teams.

 

I had never thought of that. Since I don't mess around with the 360 that much. I thought the top and bottom couldn't only be taken off if the entire console was broken down. Heck, I didn't even know how to take the faceplate off. I thought I was going to break it. Haha

I knew the date was wrong at least. I will have to find an original date one at some point. No hurries though. Prices too high. 0_0

I would have to think about that. I would probably pass it on if/when I find a proper one.

 

Sure. I can look for my predated console if you'd like? I have a kiosk console that is predated but it has the kiosk decal on the side of it so it probably wouldn't be a good substitute.

 

The warranty seal could be bought on eBay also. Just throwing that out there.

I'm still leaning that original Nov 9 2005 RROD'd and its accessories were placed on another 2005 console.

 

I'll look at mine when I get home.

Couldn't tell by your pictures but on my 2 Launch Team 360's the rear label has a green tint to it. The retail 360's have white labels.
That's pretty cool though, the lot being 0552, the 52nd week of 2005 and then the serial number of the unit ending in 5205. Can't get a later build week than that.
Here is the thread with discussion in 2014 about painted fake consoles with dates from DEC 2005. This was the greenemac console in my previous thread, which I believe ProgrammingAce (gameduder) chimed in and said his was DEC 2005 as well.
