Thanks! And I don't collect the games at all, just the hardware.

Actually the most I have ever paid for a console was $506. I am cheap. Haha

So wow I actually had to go to all threads made by me just to find this. Haha

Just a small update. Finally got an EA console. The box is not original to the console but that is the box they came in. My console came without the box so I simply bought a good condition retail box to go with it.

And then just this for funzies. I just happened upon another orange Xbox Live controller.

I was PLANNING on doing some collection group photos of stuff but my camera is now dead. Had to borrow a camera just for these two pictures. 0_0

Thanks! I actually got the console a while ago but I didn't want to post an update until I found a box for it. :/

@XboxSurgeon I don't know what to think of that picture. lol

I actually was surprised and super jelly you have not only one but two Live controllers, vomiting rainbows was pretty much the only thing I could do at the moment, lol.

Looks like they originally planned to put the Xbox Live jewels on the white controllers to match the EA console's jewel. Changed to the EA designs and put XBL jewels on the test runs of orange controllers.
They are identical, except in size of course.

Possibility, though it wouldn't make sense to have XBL on the console if both controllers have EA logos...

We have enough hardcore Xbox collectors on this site to start an actual Xbox museum.

Oh haha I wasn't planning on buying two but I just stumbled upon one while searching one day. 0_0

    Thanks!

Maybe MS didn't want to make the EA logo that big so it was only put on the controllers. Hahaha

For sure. I have no doubt.

    Thanks! I try haha

Awesome collection! Went through the whole thread and loved it. The original Xbox consoles are just amazing imo. I've been looking for a Halo 2 Xbox for some time now and they always seem to come up on eBay at the worst time! Lol

Thanks! They do look awesome! =)

Which Halo 2 console are you looking for? The Canadian one or the Asian one?

It actually doesn't matter to me lol. I've just been looking for a boxed console with the correct box art. That console has basically been my unicorn for a very long time haha!

    Finally a small update!

Not the most exciting console to look at but I finally got one of them. No front faceplate or HDD plate unfortunately.

Xbox 360 Launch Team Console - Japanese?

I am not that familiar with the 360 LT console. Hopefully someone here has an opinion on this or has heard of a non-US LT before. What I know is the serial number on the box matches the one on the back, front and the one in System Info in the dashboard. Unfortunately the dashboard was updated from the blades. The MFR Date is 2005-12-22 which is later than what it is supposed to be for a 360 LT.

I didn't have any Japanese games to test on it but I did the next best thing which was to test a region free US game and a region locked US game and the results were as expected. Region free played and region locked did not.

The person I bought it from said they got it for free from a Japanese guy that helped create the Xbox 360. It also came from the usual place. Seattle, Washington.

The green plastics can be snapped off and on to any phat 360 console easily. Like I could make a PAL LT 360 by doing exactly that.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say the LT owner wanted the NTSC-J and did exactly this.

I think they launched on Dec 10 2005 in JP so having a LT dated 12 days later seems odd as well.

Hmmm, did not know that was possible. Would doing that leave any marks behind? I didn't pay a whole lot for it either way. At least the controller and hard drive came from one if anything.
