How does piracy kick ass? please tell me, I would like to know this...you know what..how about this, when you grow abit older, maybe you will understand these people making the video games which you may dupe, or download also have familys as well.
im not trying to start a flame war in anyway but im going to tell you, honestly your preaching to the wrong choir. for reference the game, music and movie industry arent loosing any money from me pirating, 99.9% of the stuff i download i would never think about buying. i do collect old consoles (newest game system i own is a dreamcast) and legit games for them. and if a movie is really superb i will go out and buy the dvd (last month i bought the videodrome chriterion collection for 40$ after i downloaded a dvd rip) piracy rocks because i have a whole bunch of crap that i would never pay for to waste my time with. anyway as i stated above im not trying to start a flame war just stating how i am, so please dont take this as me trying to be an asshole or something cuz im not trying to honestly :-D
clearly the system does not work....... Just because you own a Dreamcast doesnt make it right. What makes it worse, the people who made those games you download, also supported your lazy ass in jail.
huh... that's actually the best reply i've ever heard on the issue of piracy. Morally it's bankrupt, but from a pratical point of view it makes sense... At least it's not the standard "video games cost too much money" answer.
no the newest system i own is a dreamcast actually i own 3 i think, like 4 saturns, and a whole bunch of other systems... i dont really even play games anymore tho lol, my little sister is the only reason why theres not a inch layer of dust covering my game systems.. and no the prison system does not work every time i get out of jail i go commit more crimes then i used to do, and worse ones at that alot of the time just for the fun of it. sitting in jail only makes you want to get out and commit more.
Crimes ehh?? Tell us more, maybe in the Introductions Thread! Anyway, I find it interesting the game gets leaked before its official release. Makes you wonder if there are people inside the company itself who are "pirates" as well.
Most leaks of this sort come from the DVD production plants, the packaging plants, or the distribution plants.... usually not somone inside the company making the game. The rest of the leaks come from the press... That being said, there's a DVD packaging facility in france that has a history of leaking pal games a few weeks before the street dates...
EA marks all of their builds so it's easy to track down the leak if anything gets released early I believe. So someone is probably in a world of hurt right about now.
not if it's a retail build and it just got leaked from the factory... while it's fairly easy to track it down to which factory it came from, the individual person will probably never be found. Remember, this disc was stamped about a month ago.
