http://www.gamespot.com/cgi/chkpt.p...on/thelegendofzelda/lozgctr_gdc05_1394_wm.zip New trailer http://www.gamespot.com/gamecube/action/thelegendofzelda/screenindex.html New Screens Just watched the trailer...Oh my fucking god, this is beautiful. The screens alone do not do justice to the game.
Oh dear, I think I wet myself a little watching that trailer :smt082 I cant wait to get my hands on that game.
mmm, i think this could be some kind of direct sequel/ remake of OOT - lots of sequences look very familiar, things like the moon at the end, the graveyardy sequence - the whole video reminded me of OOT.
Its already been confirmed as a Wind Waker sequel....I cant remember where though. An interview on IGN maybe....
damn, can't anyone find me a way to see that trailer whitout paying for an acount? i really need to see that video! as for the release date, nintendo only said that it will be released at the end of 2005, probally for chirstmas then. this game had to be released way before the end of the ''128 bit'' era! it could have changed something! and i don't remember reading that ninty officially said that it was a WW sequel. anyway, i really love that medieval-ish look of link, and it returns a bit to the original design too, GREAT! edit: Mmmm... you can see they worked on the textures ! now it would be great if link could have more polygons in it, capcom did an incredible job with Leon in RE4, i would love to see the limit pushed again! :-D (well, but t's not in the same style..)
If you want the non-streamed version but dont wanna sign up I can email you it if you want And on the Zelda trailer - I dont liek the music as much as the music in the other trailer....not quite as Zelda-ish.
Here's the official Nintendo videos in quicktime for those who want to see. Click on the right one for a nice high res movie. http://www.nintendo.com/gameminiav?gameid=54610f14-1826-4d46-9981-8f72874aee2e
Just think where nintendo would of been if they released this game instead of the cartoonish wind waker (not saying it was bad just didn't have mass apeal).
well you could say the same thing about making a truer sequel to mario 64 instead of Sunshine. It was an okay game, but has a very kiddy look to it. People cant see past that stuff though.
IT'S FUCKING MARIO. It was always going to look like a kid's game, get over it. Mario 64 looked like a kid's game. Mario World looked like a kid's game. Mario 1, 2 and 3 all looked like kid's games. Seeing a common theme here? And they all played great, so honestly, who cares? I'll stick in the quote I always do from PA about WW: Also Cahaz, you don't need to pay to download the file from that location - just click "free" and you'll be put into a download que (about 50 seconds of wait).
hmmm looks like they have seen Lord of the Rings a few to many times... Giant Spider and an army of ghosts... get some new ideas! Apart from that, it looks awesome, but i actually really enjoyed Wind Waker, lets hope it has the same playabillity. :0)
Kittay! :smt045 And for those of you who are having trouble keeping track of the timeline, here's a hint: With Ocarina, Nintendo said, "Fuck any sort of storyline consistencies! If we don't try to link (get it?) any of the installments, we can continue whoring a series about a green effeminate elf named Link until the end of the world!!" With Wind Waker looking like a kids game: Yes, there have been cel-shaded, cartoony games in the past. We have things like XII or Jet Set Radio, which are cell shaded, but still have rather cool visuals. We have things like Guilty Gear XX, which upon first glance could almost be mistaken for some new anime series. However, unlike Wind Waker, none of these games look like they'd occupy the Saturday morning timeslot right in front of Spongebob Squarepant, nestled inbetween advertisements for sickeningly sweet breakfast cereals. I think VGCats said it best: http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=9 It's hard to take a game that looks like that seriously. I could further make my point that WW plays a lot like Ocarina, which I still contend was the series downfall, but this opinion is often met by nearly violent opposition. WW's graphic style, however, is a tough one to defend. Thank god the new Zelda looks decent, even if the series died with Link To The Past.
