Mortal Kombat the movie

I dug the first MK movie thought it was very well done. With the one exception of making Raiden comic relief but it worked.

The second one ... not at all.

As far as this one goes Bakara shouldn't be, a better character would be Kabal.

 

Johnny Cage.. dead before the movie has even been made.. Blasphemy.

 

Same as at the beginning of the 2nd one.

 

Yeah I refused to even see the second movie..

Oh and before anyone bothers to mention it, I am well aware that Johnny Cage dies several times within the series of games. I doubt they would bother traveling down the resurrection realm within a hollywood produced movie though.

The trailer looks awful. Why change the background stories for all the characters? What a load of old BS!

 

Yeah I don't understand why everyone is fawning all over this thing. Aren't we as gamers the ones that always complain when they deviate from the original storylines in game based movies.

All this guy has done is use decent characters and brand recognition that someone else created to push a cheap and average looking action movie.

I wanted it to be as awesome as everyone had portrayed, but it's just not there.

 

Because we've seen what the MK franchise looks like as a movie. With the storyline given the 1995 movie is as good as we could probably get. The whole thing was written pretty much as 13 year old male fan wank, editing the backstories is pretty much the only way to do it.

I believe that all gamers are asking is just to treat the subject with it's due respect.

Sure what's presented isn't cannon but it's a heck of a kool take on the franchise, heck I want to see that movie.

 

I think more game should be given the "realistic story" makeover, for example
