Yeah... going to be announced tomorrow (or over the weekend?) Really... don't know what to say about that. I do feel really bad for the MK fans though (as one of my closest friends is an MK fanatic and is actually a bit depressed about this). But... I dunno. I'm... really at a loss for words. I would've much rather seen an MK/Killer Instinct or MK/Eternal Champions cross-over though truth be told. Also, rumor is the game is going to be rated T, and will not have fatalities. Figure that one out.
hahahaha, they are really scraping the bottom of the barrel now. Still, never liked MK anyway so I'm quite enjoying this. yakumo
Uh I don't know what to say, so basically all the dc heroes are decapitated and some how through some mystical or magical force they come back to life to kill the mk people?
Well, I did not see this coming. This should be interesting, no fatalities, no blood, this isn't MK. But it will be fun seeing Sub-zero vs Batman or Sonya vs Wonder Woman
It's a sad day when you take all the violence out of Mortal Kombat..also why are they fighting..it's not like all the MK guys are inherrently evil.
batman has his utility belt though... there's A LOT of people that think Batman could beat Superman in a fight. and if a mortal with a cool belt can't own Superman, then that mortal is above mere mortals imho. the MK guys don't stand a chance against DC Superheroes...
I m afraid the website isn't operational , www.worldscollide.com Kinda reminds me how desperate fighters are which is also re-inforced if you view the latest Soul Calibuuuur Fouuur Trailer. Near the end of it, the word Fear flashes and Vader is shown kicking some ass - a sweet sight to behold, but when put in the Soul Calibur context it just doesnt make any fucking sense now does it? Lucas Arts or Bandai/Namco could at least use the SC engine for a proper Star Wars weapon brawler - its not like the actors' employment contracts don't cover game whoring, because they do, hence no special costs related to sublicensing etc.
10 years too late to counter Capcom's awesomeness. Well that and MK hasn't been a relevant game in 14 years. when UMK3 was out.
Vader and Yoda in Soul Calibur is far more ridiculous, wonder if they will try and explain it. Their light sabres are using cheap batteries instead of Super Energiser +, so don't have their normal cut through anything power.
I think Namco was like this "Soul Calibur 2 did really well. I had spawn, link, and heihachi. Soul Claibur 3 did terrible. Soul 4 should have something awesome too...STAR WARS!" as for this; they're imitating Marvel VS Capcom apparently
Mortal Kombat died the day it went 3D, so it's no surprise to me that they would eventually take out the fatalities. Bring on Super Smash Bros. vs. Marvel/Capcom and then we'll talk...
Pretty big MK fan here, namely of 1, 2 and 4... At first I got a good laugh out of this, graphically using the unreal engine should be impressive and would like to see, from the likes of the screen shot it looks like that picture comes from an in game render... The MK franchise is pretty dead at this point. They never have quiet been able to properly capture it after the loss of real actors and MK annihilation. Is this the final blow for the series though ? How this game could work: -So absurd that we all dont want to play it, look at it with low hopes but turns out to have great gameplay. -DC Universe... Obviously I think the story of MK is interesting, and robust. Not only are they creating another game here but trying to make the MK franchise have some clout with DC. Again, its if they actually pull the game off. -No fatalities, little disappointed to hear but I think fatalities dies when you could 'create your own', with new gameplay in tact they could however make something fresh off the plate but not a 'fatality' -So horrible that the series is left alone for a few years and rehashed again in 2D form, real actors, fatalities. Remember long before we heard the news im sure there were alot of conversations that took place on making this happen. Hopefully someone along the lines saw light in the idea in making a great game... hopefully.. I think with all the backlash we can expect to see some media releases to turn us onto the game, because right now nothing but hatred seems to be developing.
I'm a big DC fan, and kinda liked the Mortal Kombat series, but I don't think this game is a good idea. Looks at least as stupid as Vader and Yoda in Soul Calibur 4.
weird to see at the first time, but will wait for some gameplay videos  sadly the announce of no fatalities is a -1 for me
Wow... you know I liked Mortal Kombat Deception. Probably the only 3D Mortal Kombat I liked. And I had hope after that, that they might be able to make MK stand up again. The MK Armageddon happened and it blew hard. This must be a strategy to make MK Armageddon look better be comparison...
