Most graphically impressive DS game

  1. Sounds like it's very SOTN-esque, then. It's funny: I loved the original 2D releases on the NES and Dracula XX on Super Famicom (hated Castlevania IV, though), Castlevania Chronicles and SOTN on the Playstation, and didn't really mind the N64 revisions - but I could never bring myself to like any of the handheld versions, especially the ones on GBA. I may have to give the handheld future of the series another look, if you say CVDS is good - I trust your judgement in all things Castlevania. ^^

Now if only the character art didn't make Soma Cruz look like Rei Ayanami - I'm going to be playing half the game wondering how to activate my AT Field and whether he's the second Soma Cruz or the third one...

Once you get into the game a bit it gets easier to distance yourself from the Rei Ayanami look....though it is still there even once the game is complete. Fortunatly, if you switch the secondary screen to map mode, then you arent confronted with the picture all the time you are playing, so its much easier to enjoy the wonderful new sprite they've given to Soma.

From what I have seen I think Nanostray and Castlevania are up there on the 'wow' graphics scale. How is the gameplay in Nanostray, worth the time and money?

Lost In Blue is a fun game, although the graphics so fare are nothing earth shattering.

All the reviews on this have been middle of the road in fun and challenge. I was thinking of giving it a chance anyway. Are you rolling through the puzzle quickly or is it more challenging then I have read?

    Nintendogs is also very impressive.

  5. Thus far, I haven't found anything REALLY challenging, but I'm still only in chapter 2. It is, I'm thinking, one of those games you play more for the story and the style than any sort of amazing gameplay (the same could be said for most RPGs, I suppose) but overall, I find it really enjoyable. If you're on the fence, maybe see if you can borrow it from a friend, or if there's a local gamestore with a demo unit you can try.
