i dont have an xbox yet but im going to get one, someday, because i played Halo at my friends. its a tad boring but seeing halo 2 made me want one even more. plus there are several other games for it i would want. i agree that a lot of ps2 games arent good, but i like rpgs (A LOT), and for a little while psx was the rpg king. it was toppled by the gba, though. dont get me wrong, the only reason i like ps2 and psone is the companies working designs and square enix. without them my rpg collection would be CA-RAPPY. i also like the dvd function of my ps2, so i didnt have to buy a dvd player. the psp may fail against the ds, but im getting one anyway... i like the entertainment extras, but im not getting a psx, because i dont want to waste 1000 dollars on a fancy ps2. the gamecube, however, is relasing some very good rpgs, too. the n64, in my opinion, did not have as much rpgs as ps1, but some were better, but i think ps1 had more rpgs that were about as good or better than n64 rpgs.
re I used to have a PS2 (until it broke), but I now have an Xbox. They both seem to be good to me, except for the unfortunate durability issues of the Playstation 2 (could just be mine). Personally, I think they're both great consoles, and I'll probably buy another PS2 when Sony fixes the hardware problems that plague it. Great pic, by the way .
Thats what i am talking about. I still like the Gamecube better than the XBox, but both are great systems, and i like the Dreamcast as much as i like the Gamecube. Mr. Casual, it is about time you started posting :smt040
To be honest, I'm rather bored with all of the current consoles. I own a PS2 and never buy new games for it (with the exception of Biohazard Outbreak and Outbreak File #2). All teh games for it are getting really bland. I have a Gamecube too....my personal favourite of teh current gen. of consoles.....I haven't bought a game for it since I got Rogue Squadren 3 for £5 in a sale. Yet again, nothing excites me on this system now. I am a big BH fanboy so Biohazard 4 *Should* excite me but it just looks like the first step in Biohazard turning into DMC. I don't own an X-box but have plenty of access to them through friends. Halo was an average console FPS to me, nothign special. With that out the way, every other X-box game I've played have all been boring. They are all too samey. PC games are the same too.....with the exception of Half-life 2 (big HL fanboy here ^_^). So basically I have the null opinion, all of the current systems have nothing spectacular to offer. I refuse to make a view on the upcomming consoles mainly due to teh fact that having never actually played them, one should never make a judgement on them. The games are too over-priced for teh same old bland gameplay. *Note* When refering to games on each format I am refering to exclusive software to that platform, no different platform ports Just my view on things at the moment ^_^
