Hell yeah dude, I would slap that thing in any machine you can. I am currently using my monster 3D II in my main rig. 3dfx drivers and display applet install with ease. I even have a Glide powered screensaver
VoodooLights Kind of hard to come by. (atleast the full version w/o limits) I have a version that I cannot speak of here... PM me if interested
I would put it in my main desktop if it weren't for the fact that I probably couldn't play a bunch of the games I wanted to. I'm not sure how a game from 1999 would react to a dual-core X2 4600+ :110: There's a 500mhz Celeron sitting no more than ten feet away from me right now, though. As soon as I find a case and power supply I think I might throw it in there.
I remember stumbling across another 3dfx website few years ago http://www.thedodgegarage.com/3dfx/ which also has a good collection. Yours is a nice website, I've been lurking here for an age but your thread made me post for the first time! Andy
Good to get you out from under that rock! That collection belongs to Gary Donovan.. he is a bit crazy. He know's a lot of ex-3dfx people and has soooo much stuff. Kind of greedy at times... but hey, w/e :rambo:
rottentreats, the last time I saw a collection of cards like that was on vogons, which has a forum part know as System Specs which is where you can show off your retro rig. And you would fit right in, but anyway welcome on board here. here is the link to the other forum http://vogons.zetafleet.com/ And no I am not recruiting at all.
Just an update and a updated list of my collection for those who are interested. My 3dfx Inventory @ FF
In a few days I will recieve another little addition to my collection. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300393220766
Oh wow man a Voodoo 5 6000...A collector's dream... Just make sure not to plug it in an AGP 4x port it will probably fry it. AFAIK you can only plug it in AGP 1x and 2x ports, although I'm pretty darn sure you're aware of it already. Have fun and please provide us with some videos!

I need to get my old P2 from my parents house with the dual Voodoo 2s in it. Such great memories of that machine, I usually donate off all my old hardware but I couldn't with that one.
My acrylic case arrived today and I got everything mounted up and screwed together. I still have some work to do, and some things to add, but its a good start. For the rear I will be placing another black acrylic piece to cover up the tape from the other one. Any suggestions or comments are welcome as always. Alternate shot with better lighting - My second V6K is to arrive on Monday!
wow, that case is beautiful, and the parts are placed nicely inside. Almost looks like they are floating.
Apparently I never posted pics of when I got my first V6K. Here we go: Fully Functional 128MB 3dfx Voodoo5 6000 Rev.A 3700. A few pics of my baby when I first got her: SHE"S ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The V6K arrived today from Edmund's eBay auction. ;D ;D ;D First thing I did was stick it in my V6K rig and fire it up... half a decade later and SHE'S ALIVE!!! Tested and stable at 2x/4x/8x AA levels. [still looping UT99 intro @ 4x AA going on for about 30 minutes] Edmund also provided a support bracket/handle that has been with the card nearly it's entire life. That teamed up with a slot bracket from a V5 5500 AGP, this thing is now ready to be enjoyed even more. Bonus shot. Perfectly alligned aavid fans.
