I also got a copy of valkarie profile for 5 bucks too but disc only people who trade there games in to places like that make me sad since they butcher them and throw out the cases and booklets to save room on shelves.
Well, just took a pic of my updated room as of now. Damn. I am running out of space. I might need to buy some heavy duty shelving units in the near future!
Wow! That's a great improvement from the first picture! Keep it growing ray:! You should do a before & after pic...
Well, ever since Summer, I have been redesigning my room after getting those shelves out. Im thinking of moving the bed over to put them back in, and then I wouldnt have to worry about not having enough space for a WHILE. I bet I would fit in with a Japanese type house since I cope with space pretty well, IMO. I just learned that I could fit more PSX cds on my shelving unit if I turned them on their side and made room for 5 more double cds or 10 singles...or 1 or 2 box sets. I took pics while working, and it is the epitome of mess: Then, after everything was set up, I had some shelves that had nothing but console boxes and 1 DC on the top. I wasnt utilizing the space I had at its full potential. I had lots of toys stowed away in the bottom of the center, all around Then during the Holidays, I got the console boxes off the shelves and put them on the sides of the TV. They fit perfectly and the TV can breathe. I also found out that the DC fits perfectly next to the NES. I then put the toys on those Shelves, and in the area where they originally were, I put Cd binders and stuff in. After I got my presents on Christmas, I reorganized my shelves in preparation for when I get new stuffs! All this for a collection of 141 games, but believe me, the last year or so has been my biggest increase in games. Maybe 40% of my collection ever since I joined the boards. Most people here can buy a collection bigger than mine in just a few weeks or sometimes one transaction, but I think Im doing pretty well.
All right, I finally got some update pics up. It took about 6 months to do, but I finally got my room redone. Over the last 6 months, I moved funriture around (Namely the bed), added the old shelves back in, got a new computer desk, threw away 99% of my posters, painted the walls, as well as get a few games along the way. First off my ET center as of now: (It looks slanted, but its not) I fixed it where ALL of my games are showing and I have AMPLE space for new games now. As you can see, I got black sheets, black curtains, and dark Green paint on the walls. My whole room matches everything else almost, now. Well, here are my OLD shelves back in the room. I moved the bed over and used them to make more room on the ET center. My Mom tells me I'd have no trouble living in Japan with the way I organize my room. And here is my new Computer desk. It opens and closes with these two doors. It actually quietens up the room quite a bit when it is closed. And here it is opened! Thats my room update for now. As for my collection, I got about 43 in the last 6 months. Yeah thats probably the amount some of you get in a week, but still.
Yeah. All the computer desks and things I used as PC desks werent as good as what Im using now. This is my first "real" PC desk since it actually can hold all my PC components, like the monitor, without breaking like the cheap-o one I had before that. It fell apart as I was moving it out of the room, too! I love the way my room is now. I do miss the posters a little bit, but I kept all the important ones and folded them up and put them away in binders and stuff. Like the old Lunar ads for instance. I hope I get called for the application I sent into Wal-Mart, because then I'll build my custom PC. And get a TON more games. College money comes first, though.
Ok, here is an updated pic. I may take another one since this one is a little fuzzy, but I've mainly been rearranging games to make more room.
All righty, time for an update! I recently got my hands on a new Olympus Camera, and took a new picture. Now the image is even more crisp than ever!
Thats cool, I like how thats setup with the boxes and stuff. I do miss the posters but still nice! I stick posters all over because this apartments walls suck, there all nasty yellow/white from the old smokers. I was going to paint it black or use this glow in the dark paint or something dumb, but I'll wait till I move out.
All right, I did some rearranging in my room, got a lot more shit, and MY EPIC SCALE BALROG CAME IN THE OTHER DAY! Front view. Kinda hard to see how big it is from this angle. A better shot to show the actual size of the thing. Its MASSIVE. I had my PS1, DS, and PSP all kinda packed away, and I moved them to the unused space to the side of my bed on the shelving units. Oh, and I moved my PS1 CD stand over there as well as my PS1 CD binder, and my big fat Strategy guides. Also, I got an Ipod Video and a Radio tuner / Charger for it, too. My PSP game cases were moved there, too, as I don't have a PSP CD case. Bought this yesterday. For those of you with lots of gadgets and gizmos that give off heat, these things are AWESOME. I've noticed a large difference in the temperature in my room, where it would be around 80 degrees just because of the lights and heat giving gadgets. Combined with the fluorescent lights, which give off less heat and give better "purer" light, imho, the temperature is about 75 or 70 degrees. Might not sound like much, but it is! And finally, a newer picture of my collection as a whole. Though it kinda looks the same every time I take it. Thats it for now!
After an extremely long time, I've finally hit the 250 games mark!:lol: I took some update pics. Current game setup My DS and PSP games: And I finally clean the dust and crap from my stuff. I had to use a mist sprayer at first to get the caked on dust gone.
Not really, I'll stack games to the ceiling if I have to! But seriously, by the time I start making money like that, I'll have a place of my own and not have to live like a Japanese guy in a crowded apartment.
One question (I had always wanted to ask a figure collector): How do you keep your figures clean from dust? I see some models are a bit dusty, but how would you clean them, just in the case? Getting them a bath or just blowing away the thickest haze?
Dusting doesn't work. Trust me. Compressed air doesn't work. I used a spray bottle of water. Might be a little dangerous to do though, it could get in my TV.
