micro is fun, tho it really cramps my hands after a while since it's way too small to be held in any proper way. I kinda regret that I didn't didn't buy SP instead.
yeah, i might need to try one before i actually go out and buy one. i get cramps in my hands when i play my DS. well, basically just any games that require the 'L' and 'R' shoulder buttons. i just can't find a comfortable way to hold the thing!
well well, figured it's time to update a bit since this thread was drowned back to page 3 haven't gotten that much new stuff but here's some stuff, starting from my delicious set of X-Edge (cross edge) items jpn version of the game usa version of the game jpn version soundtrack usa limited edition postcards (1000 sets were made) USA version strategy quide (print on demand copy) i consider this a full set as only things it's missing are the PAL version of the game, which is essentially the same as usa version and the ASIA version of the game which is essentially the same as the JPN one. it's obviously missing the DLC content too but that's kinda hard to photograph next we have some ps2 goodness in the form of Aoishiro limited edition (sealed) then we have some more ps3 stuff: Agarest senki ZERO limited edition (with the 300 piece puzzle assembled) and Tears to tiara limited edition. both are JPN games obviously next in line there's my beloved SNES which recently got a facelift. there's region lockout switch (PAL/noregion) and 50/60Hz switch. the power LED was also changed to blue. and as last we have what is the absolute highlight of my humble collection and my most precious and beloved items ever. my DTL-T10000 next to my DTL-T10000HJ with DTL-H20400 extr. dev drive and DTL-H10010 PCMCIA card for it. The SCPH-39004 is modded and is serving as a TEST for now the DTL-T10000HJ is the more or less uncommon upgraded model with the PCI815VE CPU card with 566Mhz celeron and 128Mb ram. i've also added USB's to the PC side to make life easier with the keyboard. I paid myself sick of these and it was so worth it the tool can't be described, you'll have to experience it. unfortunately the pic below is somewhat framed as the other unit is only a shell, it was sold as faulty to begin with, and the post service totally demolished the last hope of ever making it run again. the internals are packed away in a cardboard box as they are beyond hope of being restored anymore nonetheless, it's a badass picture hopefully you enjoyed the ride, i'll post more as i get more.
Hienoa nähdä muitakin suomalaisia boardilla. :icon_bigg Mitä muita alustoja keräilet kuin Playstationin pelejä? That PS2 TOOL is amazing, I'm still looking for one.
keräilen hitusen kaikenlaista, mutta lähinnä ps2 roinaa nykyisin, ei oiken rahat riitä kaiken keräämiseen
lol, is it really held in that high regard ? i always thought it's just a damn hard game. Not even sure why i have it to begin with. I think my brother bought it back in the old days when it was actually a new game. i should have the box and all somewhere so time to do some warehouse digging, somehow i have a feeling that a mint copy will eventually be worth a lot
The TOOL made this lot a whole lot more interesting, I love the SNES mod too. Any pics of that blue LED in action? I presume you understand japanese considering your games? Very nice!
thanks the TOOL is like a treasure to me, i just love it I can't really say i understand japanese, but im learning while going games can be so educative at times. If there's enough voiceacting on a game, i can somewhat fight myself throught it so that it's even enjoyable instead of just game i beat with understanding nothing reading japanese however is still a no-go the jpn titles i have are more for collection but im trying to change that. I did take one pic out of the snes while powered. the picture is VERY horrible, but whatever here you go; http://www.moon.jossain.com/crap/01012007264.jpg
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand courtesy of JackHead, i have a bunch of newcomers today nice condition boxed sfc games bahamut lagoon, frontmission gun hazard and the first front mission. OH YEAH, FRONTMISSION. (the snes will rock tonight <3) then to something else a complete net yaroze in quite awesome shape, there's only so few VERY minor marks/scratches on it, and the DTL-S3030 disk is even sealed enjoy
what are the top 2 yaroze disks? my set only came with the bottom 2, but I believe that's because it's the basic set... (that and it's a dtl-3001 based kit too, so the discs will be a little different anyway for region) (Is it missing a controller, and any chance you can get a scan or closeup of the label on the access card? looks totally different than the label they supplied for the us card) awesome collection though ( I like the pink ps2's)
Nice collection Mugi! Ah Flashback, you should play it from start to finish without delay, I never liked the console version myself, it's worse than the amiga or PC version, so give a try to the REminiscence engine, it has been ported to many platforms including the PS2, so you have no excuses! Check the website: http://cyxdown.free.fr/reminiscence/ Those are the japanese SDK and boot discs, the japanese dongle has a different sticker. A slightly better picture can be found here: http://www.scei.co.jp/Net/catalog/kit.html
wtf !? a ps2 port O___O <--- *amazed* oh well, it's not about which is the best version really, i love how it looks on a snes tbh i'ts just that the little i have played it, i just suck too much so it becomes VERY frustrating to try and enjoy it as only 2 things i ever find from the game is 1) i died, and 2) i find myself completely stuck for 5 hours -.- i'll give the ps2 port a spin tho, if for nothing else, then just out of curiosity @defor, apparently i am indeed missing a controller from the yaroze then doesn't really matter aside the fact that it's not complete then, im such a loner that i can deal fine with just one i'll take you a closer picture of the disks and the access card tomorrow, it's too dark now and my phone camera + artificial light == epic fail
its not a big deal- was just curious! I actually thought the sticker that was on mine was a JP sticker- with the cutsey yaroze bubbles and all, but - the jp sticker is indeed.. wierd...
i don't really know what's the actual value of such a set really. i bought it because i wanted one, and because the price it was offered to me was something i could pay, so i didn't really consider whether im getting a killer deal or getting ripped off. i bought my first ps2 TOOL from the same guy tho, so i trust him i do think it's a good deal tho, the yaroze kit set me down another 400€ i've seen them go for more.
It looks good on every platform! My only grudge with the snes (and megadrive version) is the pad, I played the game with a keyboard so trying it with a pad later was too weird... And the lack of protection scheme of the cartridge version bothered me for some reason, can you imagine that? Are you missing the yaroze manuals?
i can't really say anything about playing anything with pc. i generally hate pc gaming. (yes i know, it's a very "rare" point of view) i just don't see pc as a gaming machine at all, that's what consoles are for. the books and such of the yaroze are on the box that's (barely) visible behind the disks.
