Up! I changed the pictures of my Saturn album, because i managed to find around 100 spine cards those last months. Still need around 10 spine cards, and i'll get the whols japanese fullset including spine cards! I added too a sub-album for factory sealed games, putting about 60 of my best factory sealed titles (i have more than 200) Enjoy! http://www.videogamecollectors.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=51402
Thanks for the update - nice work! What's the CD-R in the last pic? It's not the most exciting picture in the set!
I'm going to have to piss on the party now because I have 1160 Saturn games and no where near the complete set. Then again I am going for the super complete set including all satakore versions and sample discs Yakumo
Yes,you had to do it, because that is what you do best ^^ I already told ONE YEAR AGO i won't go for all variations. I have most of satakore variations, and generally all DX versions of the "normal&dx versions", but i do have sometimes both. I have the precise list of the variations i'm missing, but well, unless great opportunity,i wouldn't care. Buying 3-4 times the same game doesn't enjoy me,maybe you,but not me. And i have now more than 1200 games i think..since i got some of those variations. But I have 25 other fullsets to take care of,i can't be everywhere. Mostly focused on PCE factory sealed fullset, and gamecube factory sealed fullset. Boy those are expensive.
Oh I agree that buying the same game more than once is stupid but the real definition of a full set is to own everything commercially released. Then there are some real anal collectors who insist a real full set also includes all unreleased games. That I don't agree with though. Anyway, congratulations on your set. I'm sure you are the envy of many collectors around the world  Yakumo
Fortunately, those anal collectors are not the most common people on internet Even the anal ones who consider all variations (and they are AS anal as the 1st ones). Sorry to say this, but there is no "real" definition of a fullset. We already argued 1 million times about this, no need to do this one time more. Some will see just "all different titles", while other would see all variations, even the 8 different Tokimeki Memorial on PC Engine since the serial number change on the CD. Yeah, do you collect all releases with ALL different serial numbers for ALL titles on Saturn? I think not ^^ Otherwise it'll probably be 2000+ titles. Other will consider you'll need too all European/US Exlusives, other would see all European/US titles as well (worldwide fullset, then? , even if the games were released in japan,etc.. it's endless, so i don't care about anal comments anymore ^^ For the "unreleased stuff", there can't be a definition of a fullset, since new stuff is ALWAYS discovered, year after year..so what you consider a fullset, won't be anymore any time something else appears..and believe me, it will! Anyway, everyone has their goals..
A full set in my opinion has to include every commercially released game. Demos/Hibaihins ect. are like the icing on the cake, but for me they are not necessarily included in a fullset (although I love to collect Saturn Hibaihins anyway). I think Adol's collection is amazing and depressing on the same time, which can be seen as a compliment Not much seems to be missing, maybe the bunch of Koei box-sets (those indentically sized Premium Packs, i.e. of Angelique, Sangokushi, Suikoden, Taikou Risshiden II ect). They certainly looked nice standing in a row, I just bought my first two of them a couple of days ago and am very eager to get more
And would you include, like Yakumo was suggesting, all variations of the same game? Like Satakore, normal version, deluxe version of the same titles (let's say Thunder Force V),or just the DX version would be enough? I consider hiobaihin/demo too to be an "icing on the cake",because as said earlier it can't be done 100%. There is always a new demo surfacing,a sample we haven't heard of... Yes,i'm missing 2-3 Koei "BEST" releases or premium boxes, but i won every title in "normal" edition of those boxes, with spine card.I'll try to get them when i can. The "Adventure pack" or "Nobunaga", "Emit" or even "Sangokushi" packs were harder to find (well at least, for someone like me who never go or live to Japan) I'm still looking for those spine cards, if anyone can provide them: Playboy Karaoke Vol.1 プレイボーイカラオケ VOL1 Private Idol Disc Vol.10 プラドルDISC Vol.10 真崎麻衣 PGA Tour Golf 97 PGA TOUR 97 Kumitate Battle 組み立てバトルくっつけっと Dejig McKnight Art Collection デジグ マックナイト アートコレクション The Star Bowling 2 ザ・スターボーリング Vol.2 Next King ~Koi no Sennen Oukoku~ ネクストキング 恋の千年王国 Senryaku Shougi 戦略将棋 Thanks
If it's necessary to buy several versions of a game while already owning the superior one is up to oneself I think. Most variations have different serials so I consider them worth to hunt down for the complete set. Different numbers on CDs are a pain in the ass and I wouldn't go thus far, although there's also that issue with the differently coloured spine-cards of VF Remix that I still try to get hold of (I have only the red one). Basically in my opinion it is well enough to have all the soft that got released which includes multiple version only if there were changes in content or gameplay (like Soukyuugurentai or SF Zero 2 Dash Satakore). But you can come very close. I think Satakore.com has listed pretty much every hibaihin out there, they are at least somewhat limited to a certain amount other than new betas or unreleased games that keep popping up from time to time like you said. I think there were actually eight Premium Boxes in that lovely size: Sangokushi being probably one of the easiest to find. WWII war sim ones are a real pain in the ass, probably on one step with the EMIT Value Set. Just had a glance at my bunch of spare spine-cards but nothing that you are looking for, sorry.
Here are the Koei variations i don't have (even if i own the title, normal version) Daikoukai Jidai II Premium Pack T-7649G Sangokushi Eiketsuden Premium Pack T-7652G Sangokushi Koumeiden Premium Pack T-7651G Sangokushi 5 Premium Pack T-7648G Suikoden Tenmei no Chikai Premium Pack T-7655G Taikou Risshiden II Premium Pack T-7653G Teitoku no Ketsudan 3 Premium Pack T-7654G Taiheiyou no Arashi 2 "normal" T-15018G (i have the DX) Air Management '96 (KOEI BEST) T-7668G Taikou Risshiden II KOEI BEST T-7667G Winning Post KOEI BEST T-7666G For a title like Taikou Risshiden II,you have the normal game, the premium pack AND the BEST edition..
Your My Idol. By the way, What is the yellow box next to the V saturn supposed to be? It also has a blue square on the box that says Sega Saturn, but I didnt see that box anywhere.
It is the Word Processor Set,made by Koei...you can make text treatment, just like Word and this is a printer mainly (soft as well, etc).
