Ooh not heard of burger burger before i shall check that one out, cheers The game with the grill on is Yakiniku Bugyou, very easy to play. Suzuki bakuhatsu is also easy to play as it has very little text in the game, it's very odd but very cool. I love the whole idea of a bomb been a puzzle you have to disarm. I wish they would make something using this gen graphics where you had to do similar although over here they would probably brand it as a terrorism simulator or something.
Lovely gc collection. Just starting mine! Is that two different animal crossing games you have? Any difference apart from the sleeves?
Yup theres a difference, the one on the left was the original that never left japan so it has all the japanese holidays & no proper ereader support. The one on the right is for all accounts a Japanese version of the western animal crossing but with more new stuff added into it, including medicine at the shop to treat bee stings & the ability to add features to your town like a giant yoshi egg, windmill, stonehenge & loads of other stuff that you order from nooks.
E-reader stuff Time for another update, this time all my nintendo ereader collection. Terribly supported in the west but Japan used it much more, with a whole lot more cards released. Love quirky stuff like this even if the cards were a total bitch to get hold of. Have to be very careful with them nowdays as i scan them as some are quite valuable now. First up is the hardware, theres 2 versiono f the ereader in Japan, the big box was the old version & then the one on the right is the newer + version that is able to connect to games. I have 2 binders where all my cards are kept, the first one holds all my animal forest cards but sadly it's only about 90% complete im missing all 3 of the e+ series & loads of gaps from the first 3 series. The other binder contains all my other series, everything in this binder is a full set. Heres the pages roughly spread out, theres a lot of cards in there as they are double paged but in that lot are complete sets of... Mario advance 4 series 1&2, Pikmin series 1&2, Fzero falcon densetsu, Domo kun, Hamtaro, Pokemon collosseum, mario vs dk These are my rarest cards as they were exclusively made for coro coro comics & given out in a competition, they never released a retail set for mario vs dk, apart from these cards theres a single promo card from the world hobby fair that i have yet to get hold of. These are all the packs & display boxes, most of the packs have been opened carefully but the mario advance packs are still unopened as i got extra boxes of those. Not sure what will be next, maybe the N64 stuff
Nintendo's marketing people should hang their heads in shame. Then again they really didn't bother with it that much in the states & hell we never even got it in uk. Only Japan USA & Austrailia got it as far as im aware. Basically it's a card reader for the GBA. The cards are either stand alone games or they link to another game & add content to it. Think of it as DLC in card form, on mario advance it added brand new levels & powerups, on fzero it added new tracks, on pikmin it added a whole puzzle game & loads of other cool things depending on the series & the game.
I also vaguely remember cartoons that were on a cartridge or card that would play an episode on the GBA. For example a friend had an episode of SpongeBob Squarepants. Were those more popular in Japan? Spongebob is the only thing I've seen like that.
The N64 stuff Today i have gotten out all the N64 stuff, lots of dust on it as it's been a while. This isn't all of it but the most i can find for now i'd say 99% of it. Limited edition consoles N64DD stuff, still missing the last 2 games but i'll never buy them as i refuse to pay the prices they go for nowdays. Gave up actively collecting for N64 years ago. This is stuff that they used to send to randnet members including a spiffy randnet pouch. This Doshin fan book was inside my 64DD box when i got it, it's a pretty cool thing to have and not that easy to find nowdays, has some great concept art & other stuff in it. 64DD Games Disney DDR dance mat, lol pretty useless as the games crap N64 games Hmm not sure whats next, might do some of my odd Japanese toys & gadgets i have laying around.
As far as I remember, there were also Pokemon episodes in cartridge form. I believe those were popular in Japan and not so much in the states. Another cool thing about the e-Reader, was the Pokemon TCG edition that was compatible with it. Cards from that edition when swiped through the e-Reader, made the GBA double as a sort of Pokedex. That was pretty cool for the time, I always wanted one Importaku, your collection is AWESOME, keep it up and show us more goodies  , loved the 64dd stuff!
So much respect for this thread!!! Can I make a personal request, and ask for a few photos of the pickachu pocket printer? Never even seen a photo of one! So cool.
Thanks for the comments people, i enjoy sharing pics it's fun to see what everybody has. Fwnsp, heres a pic of the pikachu pocket printer. It has a yellow & black colour scheme, i prefer it to my standard grey model. Today is a mixture of pics, theres my Gyakuten kenji limited edition for the ds as it finallly turned up plus my Play yan for the gba which i forgot where i had put it. The rest is weird toys from Japan. Enjoy E-Capcom Gyakuten Kenji L.E Nintendo Play Yan Electronic Harobot & Kirby, both talk & move so they are pretty cool. Various stuff: Hakoton monkey, remote control Mario, famicom tv remote & a Nohohon nodding solar powerd figure. This was sooo hard to find, took me 11 years to finally track down, it's a motorized maze game based on super mario world where you have to get the ball from start to finish. It's really cool as the maze winds all over the place. Pop up pirate, Hard Gay version LOL (google it if you dont know who HG is) Foooooo Finally from the future department store is Doraemon, this thing is super cool. Says quite a lot of stuff & you can have conversations back with him. He's also able to sense various things in his enviroment so says veriious things depending on the situation. Im a huge Doraemon fan so getting a real Doraemon (well almost) was too much to resist.
If i remember i got that off ebay & it wasn't that expensive. That was quite a few years ago though but keep looking they pop up from time to time.
Today i decided to round up everything club nintendo that i have obtained over the years with my account. Literally thousands of points worth of merchandise, i dread to think ho much moneys worth of games it took lol. The original Mario family figures before Chinese ripoff merchants started using moulds of the figures to create millions of fakes & flooded ebay with them. The mario statue that was given to everyone who visited the touch ds event, it was a closed event for platinum members only to try out the ds when it was first released, the thing on the right is the platinum ticket to get in. Animal forest calendar & letter set, lol calendar is from 2006 only 5 years out of date now. Green & red DS lite pouches, mario hanafuda cards, DS lite rainbow stylus set, club nintendo colours gamecube memory card, famicom colour edition of the gba wireless adapter. Mario, Wario & Luigi gamecube controllers, mario hat DS pouch & white DS lite pouch. Club nintendo coloured wavebird & gamecube controllers. Yellow DS lite pouch, oroginal DS rainbow stylus set, DS cart case 1 & 2, super famicom classic controller & a Wii tv remote. Golden wheel, GBA micro famicom #2 faceplate, G&W ball replica Star tenbillion puzzle, DS 24 cart case My only competition prize from club nintendo, it was a replica hat from the hot Mario campaign, only 1000 made. Mario kart DD gamecube lid jewel
Man back when I first got my N64 (2002ish) we managed to get it in NOS condition. I remember looking through one of the manuals that came with and seeing that sexy baby blue transparent n64. Never did get one put a picture I printed out of google stayed on my wall until 2006.
A long shot but do you happen to have a screwball scramble type game by Tomy but with sonic? it was called Sonic Adventure quest or something like that.
Ah i remember that, it was called Sonic mountain quest. It was basically a rebranding of Tomy's Kongman, i had Kongman years ago. It was a fun game, very noisy & if you lost the metal ball you were screwed which is what happened to mine so it became pretty much useless after that
