My MCXB X3 version rack mount style case loaded!

I know it hit me hard! I guess he could not live without her! They say it is really common when a older person dies that the spouse follows soon after. I have been really depressed from it all also and I am having a hard time getting ant work done that I need to. I also had to be the person to clean the house out and that stirred a lot of emotion up also.

 

Yo David!! Sorry for your loss man, I really do know what your going through as I lost my Gran 2 years ago...it was a tough time for sure. You know I've seen this case before and had to spend some time in private with the screenshots! lol! You finally scored your SmartXX V3 eh? I think I saw the thread on xbmc where you got it! How long it take to find that beeatch?

 

ANyone else have a smartxx version 3 chip that I can buy or trade? I am willing to trade any mod chip that you want for it. I have almost all the chips ever made. I have extra xenium chips and extra X3 chips that I would trade for it.

I finally tracked down a XBcase with the LCD and it currently has a smartxx version 2 installed and I want to get a version 3 for it. Trust me I will give you a really good trade or cash for that chip! Contact me and we will be able to work something out!

Thank you for the kind words and I am glad that you like it. I need to update the pics, because I changed it some. I swapped the motherboard for a version 1.1 and I installed a minebea PSU and got that foxlink out! I also got rid of the black bios select switch on the front and used a PRO switch and put it inside the console. I also installed 2 USB ports on the right side near the hard drive select switches. I also rerouted some of the wires again to make it even more streamline.

I made a bunch of changes to the whole collection and I need to finish the other consoles that I am working on. At some point when I get them all together the way I want them I will start a thread showing off the whole collection! I also have a black XBcase with the LCD and I have all 4 colors that the X3CP came in. That is really awesome having all 4 consoles together. It is a big impact!

So maybe in a month or 2 I will get these all done. I am doing a serious rebuild and swapping almost all the parts around from all the machines. I even have a mountain dew console that has a special X5 xtender kit that lets you hook 5 hard drives up at 1 time. I just got the X5 from another member and I have not installed it yet. That took me many many years to track down in perfect condition.



The only down fall it has is the you have to power down and then turn the knob then power back on. With the button style kit you push the button and it resets the console also at the same time. It is so much easier.

I just got the X5 and it is not installed in the mountain dew case yet. That pic is the only one I could find on the internet. I am working on all the consoles right now. I have them all in pieces because I am building them the exact way I want them with the exact parts that I want them to have installed. It has taken me a few years to get all the parts together that I needed to complete this collection and trust me it is a modders dream come true. I have almost everything that I need to finish and that last few parts will be here this month.

I ordered a black XBcase with LCD from germany and it will be here finally after more then a month in shipping on tuesday. Then I can start the mega build of more then 10 consoles. 4 of them will have each color of the X3CP and the 3 hard drive version of the x-tender kit. The green X3CP took me many years to finally get.

So hopefully soon I will get them all done and shook the xbox community! Or whats left of it.

I noticed myself that David hasn't been on in a month...hope everything is all good with him, maybe he's finally decided to build that Spanish Armada of modded boxes that he has been planning on storming M$ with..lol!

 

Well he needs to get back to me as well as allot of other people because he has 3 of my rare Xbox systems and he's not responding to me as well as other people I'm not liking this!!!

 

@davidthomas can you tell me, where i can get a tutorial for the hard drive cable? does it work with sata drives, too?
