I have a spare Neo 1 slot I am probably selling off soon. Never managed to really get any carts for it that I really wanted, plus if I trade with Subbie for the Atomiswave, the main Neo titles I wanted are available (albeit at greater cost). My main thing was to obtain 'Metal Slug' (some of the series) as I am a huge fan. Been playing MS on the PS2 for ages and would love to play it on the arcade. What Neo stuff are you after? Not trying to sell you mine btw, I think currently we'd both be cheaper sticking to home sales / purchases lol  I saw the borrowed Viper - looks good!
Right now I have the following MVS: 3 Count Bout, Art of Fighting, Art of Fighting 2, Fatal Fury 2, Samurai Showdown, Samurai Showdown 2 & World Heroes 2. These should keep me busy for some time once I can aquire an MVS mainboard. If I had to pick my current wants it would be Pulstar, KOF '97 & 2000, Garou: Mark of the Wolves, Money Puzzle Exchanger, Magical Drop 3 and Puzzle De Pon. The Metal Slug series is great, but I would have to say 3 is the one I will play till the end of time. I own it on the AES system, so I'm not in a hurry to get the MVS. I agree, especially in this economy. :icon_bigg ^_^_^
I made a custom instructions/move list bezel pic. I was sick of looking at the blank space and decided to create this collage. Feel free to use it on your Astro or candy cab. ^_^_^
sexy machine indeed. My friend has 2 of them and they're good times. There's a few thing holding me back from getting one. 1: They're a pain/expensive to transport. 2: they cost a lot of money. 3: the quality out of my supergun is literally almost identical (sound quality is much better actually, I built one that's compatible with an amplifier). Supergun isn't as cool to look at. But for the sake of having all my consoles, arcade pcbs, dvds, youtube, and computer stuff all hooked into the same bigass crt with sound system. This just makes more sense to me. Still glad people appreciate cabs like that.
Having a seperate system for my PCB's is a big plus. I also feel the experience of playing vertical shmups is much better on a dedicated arcade cabinet. Honestly for me this cabinet was easier to move then my refrigerator. Cost versus the supergun is more, but for the overall experience and the price I paid was a very good deal for one of these candies on the East Coast. Did you build your supergun? My friend had a supergun which was nice, but once I tasted the candy I could never go back. ^_^_^
Nice instruction / move bezel graphic matey! Heavily influenced by cute and cuddly looking Japanese females lol
Well I built most of it. Like I said I've played many many times on my buddies new astro cities. One with a brand new moniter. Honestly it's not that much of a difference from my supergun. Except my sg goes much louder since it works with an amp and speakers. Big bass on it too because of that. And I don't have to be directly infront of the screen to play. I can sit comfortably on my bed with a controller and not go blind from being so close to the screen. Like I love candies don't get me wrong, this's just a personal preference. and I honestly can't imagine a fridge being very easy to move around either... My setup probably isn't so bad in comparison because it's hooked into a bigass crt anyway.
Hehe! Thx!:sexy2: No worries. :icon_bigg I'm always curious to see people's custom sg's. I had all but given up on sg's, but after seeing some current projects from people I may try my hand at a build. ^_^_^
oh you can see about my SG on this thread http://assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21103 *edit* I see you found it already
Here are pics of my completed coin box delete. I have mounted the credit switch in the coin return slot for now. I will be creating a bracket to mount the credit switch inside, so the coin release button will activate the switch and add a credit. ^_^_^
There isn't too much rust, most of the 'dirt spots' are discoloration in the paint on the metal panels and on the fiberglass shell itself. The original control panel had the most rust around the bottom edge. It really doesn't look that bad in person, so I'm going to leave it be for now. I was thinking of repainting the metal panels, but they would stick out even more due to the rest of the cab being slightly off white. ^_^_^
