Very nice collection. Only things off hand I notice missing are the few books, and of course the Dogtags which can get rather pricey. I'm missing 3 or 4 dogtags myself.
Pretty cool collection. I have one game, and it is the GBA collection that came out 2 or 3 years ago. I beat 1, barely started 2 (ITS FREAKIN HARD), and 3 is boring. 4 looks promising, as well as the online games, the remakes of 1 and 2, and Phantasy Star Universe. Pretty interesting series, if you can make it past the millions of Star Wars references found in PS1. :smt043
Wow, thats one very focused collection you have their. Impressive level of dedication you have to the PS game series. So, looking forward to Phantasy Star Univers? On a side note though, do any of the GD-Rs have the scene where the dragon (first boss) busts through the wall instead of just flying out of nowhere (like it does in the final version)? Just curious.
Thanks guys for all the nice responses. I'll give a go through Forest tomorrow and see. I really checked out the menu differences and punctuation errors.
Hehe, there will always be something to add on the wish list. Fabrizo, I went through one of the Review copies and the Preview copy to see if the Dragon bust through the Central Dome, but it didn't. I did, however, find some really neat things, such as the lack of shadow at some parts of Forest. In the preview, there are two very noticeable perpendicular lines below the character. Do you know the poles you are suppose to activate in order to go to Ruins? Well, it won't let you activate it in Forest(haven't tried Caves or Mines yet), so I'm wondering if it will just allow you to go to Ruins. That will be neat to find. I'm also interested in finding out if there are any differences near the ending. I'll be giving more goes later on tonight. I'll keep you updated.
Nice collection PhantasyStar. The PS2 Sega Ages is good? I might get it when the US version finally gets released.
The Sega Ages remakes are good, but they're an acquired taste. LOTS of levelling, and a lot more dialogue. There are also some very key points you have to do to go to the next point in the game. Can get to be a bit obnoxious. Not to steal Phantasy Star's thunder, but here's some stuff not on the list: Phantasy Star Koushiki Settei Shiryoushuu Phantasy Star Memorial Fanbook and Drama CD Rare as balls Phantasy Star Collection Book GD-Rom Video Promo No clue why it says it has a Sonic 2 demo in it. PSO flyer for DC...nostalgic PS: End of the Millenium MD Flyer Dogtags I've only got 6 of the 10... two of the ones I'm after cost a fortune. Phantasy Star Wallpaper Made by me... my PS skills at the time sucked. I would love to redo this, but trashed the Photoshop files... I'd have to rescan. Oh, yeah -- my Sega Ages versions came w/ the some buttons b/c I ordered 'em from Dreamcast Direct. Don't think they came w/ the normal releases. I also got one of those goofy writing pads the Japanese people love... pattern is the same as the EotM flyer cover.
No Phantasy Star Text Adventure? Did I see right that you don't have the JPN Sega MegaCD "Sega Games Can Vol. 1" (or Vol. 2)? You need to grab those -- half of each disc contains a load of Phantasy Star Text Adventures.
Yeah, I know I need to grab those. I haven't found them for a good price like I saw them go for once on eBay. First though, I need to learn Japanese, which I am currently doing over the summer(numbers now). Good ol' Assembler started me out with a few things.
Awesome. If you're inclined, I see several on Yahoo! Japan quite often, and for the most part they're running for a decent price. Good luck on that collection -- I'm envious.
