Hey, no, I'm at home now. I leave back for school Saturday, so I wanted to take pictures of my collection beforehand as I won't get to come home for a while. I have a few PS items still up there like my other Dreamcast copy and Gamecube copy.

Plus I have a roomate who brings in people all the time that aren't the most trustworthy, so there's no way in hell I'd bring it up there :p. When one of his friends said, "Whoa, you got a Wii, can't wait to play it," I made a note to self: don't bring Wii up.

Hey PhantasyStar, did you pick up the Sega Genesis Collection yet? The PS2 and PSP versions have PS II, III, and IV on them.

Woah impressive PS collection. Congratulations I love it.

I wonder if the GD-R are betas or are they review copies?

    Thanks.

Two of the ones pictured are preview, and the rest are mainly review. Received some new ones not too long ago, but it seems they are mostly review. Can't find any noteable differences.

I love PSO and your collection is pretty dam good dude!
    Btw, no PAL PSOver.2 xD?

I gotta few questions for ya:
-What are those trial versions you got on pic7?

-Do ya have a white labeled pal psover.2? If yes, what's the difference between that and the final release?

-Omfg! Development GDs! Which ones for the DC of each version ya have? Any beta stuff, anything different from the final release?

I would appreciate if you could ansewr all these quesions =D

Btw, I am getting my BBA soon, and a 4xPSO mem card too ;D Looking foward to find you online hopefully next week. ( I supose you got a bba)

Edit: Ups, I guess some of the questions were already asked by other users, srry didn't read xP.

Hey, thanks! Nope, no PSO PAL V2...got one for sale? ;)

Although my pics aren't loading, I would say that they are the network trial versions, which were used to beta test the servers.

Yes, I own 2 white label PAL PSO V2s, but they are still sealed. I honestly doubt there would be any differences, as the Euro version of PSO V2 came out several months after Japan and US versions.

    I have 3 for V2 and 7 V1s.

One of the V1s does not have the video for the opening scene, but instead a picture of the Pioneer 1 explosion with the story displaying on the screen. Pretty neat. Also, you can directly go in to VH at level 1 and some of the enemies do not attack you, but rather stand still. Unfortunately though, they don't give you any EXP. Oh, and if you get to Falz, you can kill him in 1 hit, but it's tricky to kill him on his last form, because the game freezes up if you don't hurry and hit him. It's right when he's about to do his Grantz attack on you.

One of the V2s I have is pretty neat, as it detects if you have hacked items and displays some message on the top middle of the screen that says, "Cheater? <Shark>". I started a new character and it doesn't say this, but when I use my old V1 character that has some non-legit items, it says that.

Other than that, the others really don't have anything different.

Great. I can't seem to get the Schthack private server to work with my V1 or V2. If you find out the secret, let me know. I got it working with dial up a while ago, but not my BBA.

Thank ya very much for spending your time answering my questions.
I appreciated the beta infos, seems awesome!! I would love to try it if only I could..

About the PAL psover2 I am not selling mine of course, but I can see if there is anyone selling it around here. How much would ya want for it?

Yea, I hope I can connect to schthacks when my bba arrives! =)

    Btw, PM'd.

Before you go picking up PSO version 2 from the PAL region, note that it's a superset of the US disk and detects what console it's on. Even if you use a boot disk, the PAL code sees the US region ROM and prompts you for a license code when you go to connect to a server. It only skips that part of the logon process if it sees that you're running an EU region console.

I'm not recommending against owning the thing, of course. But if you want it for functionality rather than for collection purposes, I think it's an important point to know.

Want to sell/ dump your PSO betas?

Btw, I wonder if the HUD is like this?:

PSO lovers would appreciate it and maybe we could find some hidden debug menu or something... at least I'm talking by myself, I'm dedicating to PSO cult, and the only "rare" thing I have is a few beta screenshots from the old sonicteam pso website, now only available through the web archive.. I would die to get the beta shown in the sample picture you see above.

We've got a few skilled people who could hack these versions and find out something besides the obvious.. who know's?
