I found my 80s music files. 1. Break My Stride (Matthew Wilder) 2. The Glamorous Life (Sheila E.) 3. Overkill (Men at Work) 4. I Ran (Flock of Seagulls) 5. I Love You (Climax Blues Band) Overkill is a pretty underrated song IMHO.
Mine is way big to post. let's just say about a thousand 80's tracks with a few early 90's thrown in. Mostle European of course butt here are an awful lot of US tracks in there. Yakumo
I'm currently looping, Inhuman Rampage from Dragon Force, Through the Fire and the Flames being my fav', these guys can sure play fast. (www.myspace.com/dragonforce) A little bit of Steve Vai and Shenmue OST lately... Sabre
Ahh dragonforce, I've seen them 3 times, and each time has been absolutely amazing. At the moment I'm into a very RATM mood, in particular of course their 1st album. Also I've just gotten back into Rammstein, as well as having bought a few psycho motel albums, which were a project by adrian smith of iron maiden while he wasn't in the band.
I'm hoping to see them next time they tour back in the UK. With the split of Audioslave maybe a reunion of RATM is in the offing who knows... Rammstein rocks too ray: Sabre
What?,....no Styx? Bah, I've been listening to japanese stuff this week mostly lol Almost all of being Ayumi Hamasaki....heh oh, and been listening to Rowan Atkinson's live in belfast too Ryan
I m listening to some good ole' Primus (Coat tails of a Dead man) right now, but my playlist is about 7K songs at the moment, not possible to post here;p
Been listening to From Autumn to Ashes' 'The Fiction We Live' and Brand New's 'The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me' a lot lately.
Lots of Pelican, Battle of Mice, Ensiferum, Enslaved, Sephiroth, Faun, Fejd, Suidakra, and Mithotyn. that whole lot
Im playing the new Defeated Sanity -Psalms of The Moribund, i think this is the most brutal record ever recorded. (Actually, i find brutal death metal (and death metal in general) to be quite boring, but this cd is insane)
I'm listening to a recent discovery of mine: Theivery Corporation - Versions. Nice mix of chillout/ethnic/jazz/electronica. :033: Edit: I had tickets to see Maiden in Athens when Dragonforce were supporting them, but the missus andI had to sell them due to a course I had to take. I still regret it to this day. Has anyone seen DF live?
Im glad too, i'm just sad they like dragon force though Anyone into crazy shit like the dillinger escape plan?
thanks for the link mate, sounds promising. Back to listening DKC 1's soundtrack now , while studying!
Man Dillinger seem to be getting farther and farther from there roots. and not in a prime way. its ok though. I still think Sikth is the one of the best examples of technical hardcore out there. "The Trees Are Dead And Dried Out, Wait For Something Wild" kicks ass
That's one of the main reason i like this act, you can clearly see a progression in their music with each and every EP and LP they released while retaining their chaotic and unique sound . They are pushing their musical boundaries without sticking to any label, Call them hardcore mathcore experimental techno metal jazz and you're about there, so far, but ''sound of the future'' is a better label, imo. But i kinda find it funny you say they are getting farther from their roots, since these glimpses actually sound more like ''the running board'' and ''calculating infinity'' than ''miss machine'' or even ''irony is a dead scene EP''. Their music is quite technical and chaotic, but before everything else; sincere, unlike the many cookie-cutter band they spawned that just tries to be the most off-beat-technical-time-signature-changing band ever *cough*psyopus, by exemple*cough*.
