I started collect "James Pond 2: codename Robocod" a couple of years ago and it's slowly growing  It's not my "meaning of life" but still fun since Robocod got more releases than i thought when i started collecting, i think even an Playstation 2 version is coming soon? The Nintendo DS is the latest i bought, i have not played it since i have no DS. Here is a pic of the collection: I have the Gameboy Advance version also but forgot when i made the pic And here is a big version of the pic: http://hem.bredband.net/b108596/robocod_collection_b.jpg
Man, seeing that brings back soo many memories! :icon_bigg I still prefer the PAL SNES boxart a lot more than the USA one...
I like the original (Atari ST, Amiga 500) boxart most, followed by the cute Japanese one The worst is the Sega Megadrive/Genesis one, it could easily be mentioned in any "worst boxart" discussions.
Here are some links: http://img127.imageshack.us/my.php?image=totrobo13an.jpg http://img100.imageshack.us/my.php?image=totrobo27tc.jpg I have an old SNES mag from 1992 with an Ocean ad in it; It has pics of Robocod for the SNES, GB, and NES on it. It would have been a fun game to have, even if it looked a bit crap.
Awesome collection man ! First time I see the kixx game gear version, thought kixx only re-released it for the master system. Wtf is the version on the down-left corner of the pic ?
Damn, I've been looking for the name of this game for over ten year! I played it when I was little, but forgot the name, and I've been looking for the game ever since (passively but still). Very nice collection too.
Looks like a chinese bootleg for the MegaDrive / Genesis. I have a Sonic + Doraemon that looks similar. The chinese bootleggers seem to be big on 2 in 1.
Yes, it's a bootleg. It has the Electronic Arts boxartlogo erased, also there is no EA intro in the game
A little update.. recently got the US and a bootleg of the GBA version, the UK in the pic was the one i alreday had but missed when i did the big pic i posted first in this thread  Guess wich is the bootleg :110:
I'm going with the middle one being the bootleg. Which version do you like and hate most? Do they all play pretty much the same or do others have anything special too them? Yakumo
There's three games in the series plus the shite Aquatic Games. Never liked any of them to be honest but hey, that's just me  Yakumo
There is even an PS2 version, i don't have that one yet but it seems to be like the PS1 version. I don't understand the reason of the PS2 version since PS1 games are playable on it anyway? And afaik the PS2 version looks very similar to the PS1. And regarding wich version i like most is the original (Amiga 500, Atari ST) and CD32 versions. The levels on the PC version was changed and those recent realeases (GBA,NDS,PS1,PS2) have new badly designed levels... not completely sure about PS2 and NDS since i never played them but i pretty sure they all have the same levels. The GBA Robocod to the right is the bootleg, it looks awful on closeup, i will try and make a better pic of it.
