Yeah I agree, I obtained everything from my childhood in regards to games, but obviously went way past that. If it were up to me I would have nothing when it comes time to moving out bush and although my wife is on board with the whole thing she doesn't want to be as extreme as I want to. She wants to either have the internet or phone. We will probably give up the internet as satellite is just way too expensive, satellite phone is a good idea though in case of an emergency like we get bitten by a brown snake or whatever else.

Yeah everything is out to get you indeed, like the taxman, politicians and government. I would rather face a brown snake than a slimy politician, at least I won't go to jail if I shoot a snake.

I had a guy come over and pick some stuff up he wanted that was organized outside of eBay on Sunday who didn't live too far away. Supprising how many retro gamers there are around the traps.

The more we're supposedly going ''forwards'' the more mankind is actually being pushed backwards! I'm liking your idea more and more, the more I think about things and the crappier life gets.

I'd like to live off-grid too you know, grow my own food/vegetables, create my own drinkable water, grow weed (of course). I'd like to make my living from the land, really, ideally I'd like to not need money at all. You can make a living from people's rubbish.

There was this one woman who lived underground in the woods, she had internet and A/C, she made money by selling garbage on Ebay. She raided dumpsters from officers, you know that kind of thing.

In a wasteful society the amount of useful things we throw away is ridiculous..

anyway im getting too into it now but a lot of people are pushing towards the same idea as you, some even create movements, intentional sustainable communities.

Yeah, I don't mean to be all depressing but the life / society we have created as a species can really suck dog's balls. People like to think we are not controlled by deep seeded primal ways / urges as we are "better" than that as we have the ability to think. Though, like you said "The more we're supposedly going ''forwards'' the more mankind is actually being pushed backwards!". The more technology progresses and the less we have to do physical tasks and are pushed away from the hunter / gatherer thing, the more f****d up and psychologically screwed in the head we become. Mental health is on the upwards climb and people are just becoming basket-cases. I can't wait to move out to the middle of no where have have very little to hardly anything to do with it all anymore. Commuting for an hour each way in peak hour traffic into a crappy overcrowded city full of moron humans to do a job I hate is no longer the life for me. And to think I do all that just to pay for shelter, electricity, food and water which I could be getting for free off the grid if I really put the effort into, one day!

Wow, never heard of it but absolutely love it! Thanks for showing, I love this little piece on their site in the Q&A section: Many see humor in The Movement and think we can’t be serious about voluntary human extinction, but in spite of the seriousness of both situation and movement, there’s room for humor. In fact, without humor, Earth’s condition gets unbearably depressing—a little levity eases the gravity.

    Very well said indeed.

Dude I don't even have anything to say to most of humanity anymore,

    typical conversation

''what have you been up to lately?''.

    ''working''.

That's all I get, from everyone and it makes you think, what's the fucking point?

Do you mind if I ask what you do for work?

Hey dude, ya have a Demo System DS-16 yet?

I think getting one is the ultimate dream of a Sega Genesis/ Megadrive collector.

I have one and I'm NOT selling it. Took 6 months to find here. New member who will remain anonymous answered my WTB and I took the risk. It paid off. Got is for a song too in great condition.

Yeah man I agree with you for sure. I normally do not like talking about what I do cause I f*****g hate my job and it's a job where most people automatically hate or judge you because it is compliance / law enforcement role. People see you in a uniform as such and hate you cause you're wearing it but don't stop to think you are actually just some normal dude. Small minded fucking parasites the lot of 'em, I'll just leave it at that. This thread has so much negativity in it now lmao. We should just turn it into a humanity hating thread.

No I never got one, not sure if I'd say it is the ultimate dream item as there are far more expensive and/or rare items than that, but it is definitely desirable and interesting of course.

Haha this is definitely misanthrope central ;)

But your profile picture brings a bit of humour into the thread, although with a disturbing lack of beard!

Well I'd better get to work on trying to match your collection, as yours is sold mine goes up, maybe 10 years from now they will meet in size and the world will explode!

Moving onto the 4th shelf of my bookcase.

Hmm I've got some of those Taiwan originals I may sell if the prices fair well. Will be an interesting thing to watch :) Not often if ever you see those games go up on eBay.

& when you do see them go up not many people are willing to start them at 99c. I like to start 'em low and give people a good fighting chance.

Great to see you listing some cool items, made me stick up some items I have been meaning to offload for months now.
I am very glad I am not a game collector or I'd be haemorrhaging cash thanks to you :biggrin-new:

Yeah I find listing games on eBay excrusiating, it is so time consuming and boring.
