I just wanted to share some pics of a "robot" that I am working on as part of my ECE degree. Everyone in the program gets the same kit, and as we learn information from the classes, we can then apply it in the lab with our Tekbot. So far this term we've constucted the battery charger, analog control board w/bump sensors and a photovore circuit. More photos to come as the Tekbot changes throughout the next 4-5 years.
Sweet. A robot that can cook AND kill. Are those foam wheels? Why not go with rubber wheels and add some better electric motors for the extra weight those will create. Have it play the sound clip "Danger, Will Robinson" over and over again, too.
Does it run linux / have a port of Doom yet? lol Looking good so far, will be interesting to see a few years from now
It's a combination of photo resistors, potentiometers and comparators to essentially make the robot "attracted" to light. I won't go into details, but the circuit is the designed to make the robot turn to the side with the most light. This allows you to drive it by using your hand to cover the resistors, or simply by using a concentrated light source.
Cool! Is it just me, or are other people also unnaturally attracted to bare PCB shots the way a normal person might be attracted to porn?
first navigation around the room next world domination... That is freaking awsome.. you need more wires...and spinning blades of death.
Thats pretty awesome Though I must go against the general consensus of it needing blades of death. Give it a KiTT style LED addon for the front
