I agree woith conker2012. Invest in a everdrive....one of the best bits of hardware ever released for a retrogamer. my personal recommendations are: Super mario 64 Mario Kart 64, zelda ocarina of time, zelda maj goldeneye, fzero x zelda Majora's Mask pokemon snap pokemon puzzle league indeen your wife is amazin! my over half once bought me for xmas a nes everdrive....shes a keeper! lol
Even if he gets a everdrive he'll still need to know what games to put on it, so keep the suggestions coming.
Pokemon Stadium 2 is great if costly to fully utilize. All 251 Pokemon in 3D, on top of enhanced box/item management. It even plays Crystal unlike the SGB.
I noticed noone's mentioned "Sin & Punishment" ("Tsumi to Batsu") yet. It's an import for the 64 though, and it might have gotten a Wii release in some form or other, not sure.
Wii and Wii U versions are downloadable. It's a little strange. The menus have been translated to English, but the subtitles for the (already English) voice acting were left in Japanese.

most of the best games on N64 are expensive moneytalking..... the marios and zeldas and things like that are greatt games but youre expected to pay a few hundreds just for a few cartridges...
