All the #DreamSNES shenanigans on Twitter, that one guy who photoshopped a picture of some 64DD disks and made up a story about how he obtained Ura Zelda, you know, that stuff. It's like these people know that fans of incredibly rare or lost media are easy to manipulate, and start relentlessly teasing them just to get a good laugh. As far as the mockups are concerned, there are a multitude of possible reasons why assembler didn't get what he paid for. Maybe the engineer forgot that the prototypes were discarded long ago, or Nintendo intervened when word got out that the mockups were being sold.
Considering the #DreamSNES was actually by one of the confirmed devs is pretty crazy. Technically that one could still pan out, but I'm not so optimistic anymore.
You guys need to remember that Assembler generally knows what he is doing He wouldnt waste time or money on things if he didnt have at least some idea that it would be lefit.
I have to get a firewire card, all the carts are firewire. They make pci-e firewire cards? Edit: they do, but irrelevant. None of my hardware works with windows 95

Didn't the late 90s imacs have firewire ports on them? At any rate if you go to thrift stores or flea markets you'll usually find a firewire port on them as apple was really pushing that kind of connect at the time.
I second Jackhead's choice. Some Power Mac G4 systems come with Zip 100 drives which could also be useful down the road. Plus you can run Mac OSX Tiger or OS9 if needed.
Can't believe there's zero of the blue and white mac on craigslist. People used to use them as doorstops. I would prefer to get something that is at least nice to look at as it's going to sit in a corner once I am done.
