The duke was the best controller for FPS and such but for GG-x2 and soul calibur the special arcade stick put out from capcom is the best. I picked one up from EB the other day.

    Not brand new ones though.
Used ones are pretty common and sometimes you can find one of the green jeweled "Dakota" variants if you look hard.

  3. Still no "Win" button... bah.

But seriously, their D-pad needs to go. I can't think of very many games that actually used it, and either way, it was really REALLY badly designed - I almost prefer the horrible d-pads on the N64 or Gamecube over the XBox's. And I hope the thing isn't as damned monsterous as the original XBox controllers (or even the large controller S) - not every gamer is a fat-fingered mutant who would be unable to use a controller any smaller than an entire Dreamcast.

I just can't get over those face buttons. They look incredibly hard, like the ones on the first Xbox, and they look smaller. Ick.

    how can you tell?
when i say a shop (without any adjective behind and/or after it), i talk about generic stores that aren't video gaming oriented, so they don't buy or sell used video game related things.. i don't say every shop near me still got those, but i could easly manage to pick one brand new , just as a gameboy printer paper roll still unopened, by tomorow, since the stores are closed right now. :smt022

so, basicly, the center button is a mix of Ctrl+Alt+Del and/or Alt+Tab and/or Win all together, right?

I loveed the big pad. So fat and comfy. Great for racing and FPS. S is ok, but this new one looks like a horrible logitec rip-off. Atleast it's not wireless.

they said it was a button to access your xbox dash at any time, whatever you're doing.

A track ball would be about the stupidest thing ever...it would completely undo that whole "For the love of god, it's not a PC" thing they did for so long...still...it sounds like this thing is getting closer and closer to a PC.

read the article, they said it was a button to access your xbox dash whenever and wherever you are, when playing on a game, listenning to music or watching movies.

so basicly, the console will indeed be closer to a pc, since not only the game will run anymore, but the xbox OS at the same time too. that's why i made the comment about the central button being like an alt+tab for a keyboard under windows.
