Hi. I need the ROM for any one of those cartridges.

GameShark or ActionReplay Pro ROM

Please let me know if you have it.

If you dont have it as a dump, but you have it on your cartridge EEPROM, then please dump it if you can ;-)

I have a gameshark and modded the thing so I can swap eproms and want to dump some to, but if your purpose is research, google gives many working versions. and my version came with Caetla 0.34 i believe, search for that.

I need this ROM so I can decode it and see the boot header used. This way, I can make the PlayStation boot from an EEPROM with a .EXE hopefully and link it up to my FPGA.

 

You could bring an answer here and ask questions about it however. That is how most people would do it.

I have 2 brand new Action Replays, 1 Xplorer and 1 unknown cart. There all together useless.

I need the PRO ROM!

The PAL microcontroller, and all those other useless IC's, are used for the DB-25 connection to the PC I believe. The source code is useless, and you can not find it. There is no truth table either.

After all my research so far, I can tell you that all you need, is an EEPROM with the correct code on it, and the PlayStation will boot from it. I mean, I am pretty sure. I just need to make my own PCB first, then I will put my theory into action. Get it, ACTION? :lol: (lame)...

 

You'll need to dump the PAL to be able to do that. If it's read protected then you'll need to use something like charles mcdonalds pal reader, otherwise a programmer might do it.

It looks like address decoding for the rom/parallel port and possibly also handles some of the parralel port protocol.

 

Mainly used for the parallel port to the computer.

I have ALL the CAETLA tools already.

I have a 46 PlayStation links in my bookmarks that have not seen the light of day for nearly 12 years. Including some people do not know about...

Please dont link me to this stuff ;-)
