Need help!! Were any XBOX DVD cases transparent/light green? Ebay problem...

I bought a copy of Rogue Ops from eBay that was clamming to be new and sealed. When I received the game I check it out and took the wrapping off, opened the case and found it rather flimsy. Any XBOX collector will know the cases were quite strong and didn't bend when you tried to open them. The case I have with Rogue Ops seems like a replacement XBOX 360 cases as the green seems the same to me... There are no markings in the case either like the XBOX ones usually have.
So I'm very close to blasting the seller as I feel scammed. It's just weird how the booklet had a few marks on it as well, suspicion it's been resealed too.

Here are some images I took to just compare or wondering... I know it's "JUST" a case to a lot of people, but I bought a 'new' 'sealed' copy so, I'm not very happy.

Those are replacement cases from llamma. I had over 100 Xbox games a few years ago and none were flimsy light green ones, only replacement cases I ordered were flimsy and light green soo...

 

Thank you! I knew it, cause that eBay listing for those cases matched the colour. So this game was resealed... Wow what an asshole. He says he doesn't take returns, but I'm going to wait till I get a reply from the message I sent. I caught him red handed I'm sure.

 

It's not definate. I didn't own this game, but I owned 100 unique games and none were this colour. Wait for someone who owns the game to confirm it.

 

I'm still thinking it was a re-sealed game though, that case is exactly like the one in that ebay link.

 

It does not matter if the seller states they don't take returns, under eBay and Paypal rule all sellers have to accept return if there is a problem. In your case, you did not get a genuine new and sealed game but a fake, resealed game. if the seller still say no, open dispute with eBay and be sure to mention the game shows obvious indication it was used and resealed and not a new, never played game.

 

Oh good, I'm also worrying I won't get my cash back... Last time I reported to eBay that I never received my item they didn't do anything about it... Like ages ago it arrived but still, they sat on their hands.

I did some research of the game on the internet and they all have dark green cases. So this is a fakely sold "new and sealed" game. Wondering if the seller will reply, if not I'll have to do that whole dispute thing all over again... The seller could easily deny the refund through PayPal, so I'm JUST HOPING eBay will be on my side for this. Other than that I think I'd be screwed... Even though there is clear evidence, what could I do?

If the seller replies I'll post the reply here anyway, he deserves to be shamed for this...

 

This. The seller can't just say no returns. If they lied in the listing, you can return it.

Even if Ebay and PayPal are not on your side, you can still go through your Credit Card Company. I have lost a dispute through PayPal before and then taken that dispute to my CCC and they determined I was right and they took the money back from PayPal.

 

There's always the chance the guy didn't know better. It might some old guy selling consignment. I mean, since it was wrapped and all.
Lol, just pretend it's gamestop. They open stuff all the time. xD

 

I tend to agree, I was on both sides of this issue a few months back when I had a resealed Visual Studio 6.0, when I resold it I was told that it was an Academic Edition with the sticker removed. I would talk to the seller first, most collectors know about the security seals but he may not.

 

I still sense bullshit...

I'll send him images of the booklet too, let's see what he has to say.

 

Defiantly BS'ing seller or really clueless who got the games from another source.

 

I believe so too, sounds just way too stupid. Still waiting for his reply and HOPEFULLY I'll get my money back. PayPal will most likely force me to send the bloody thing to him which will cost me more to do -_-

Yep, he sure is... I just filed a damn dispute then and waiting for his bullshit reply so I can escalate it to a claim to PayPal. He is full of shit, seeing he got all defensive when I asked for a refund.
If he offered me another XBOX game or something that I could FUCKING USE!then I would of accepted it, but DLC for games I do not own for the XBOX 360 won't do any justice. I'm sure he's selling reseals, everyone start reporting his ebay profile I'll also report to eBay about that later on, which I doubt they'd do ANYTHING about it.

all my xbox 1 cases don't have that glossy finish and don't bend like 360 cases

 

Asshole, he refused my full refund and will still wants me to pay for postage. -- If it was AS DESCRIBED then I wouldn't have to pay for postage to begin with. Fuck it up goes the claim to Mr. PayPal.
