I've been told it's possible to have stock/region free/dreamshell boot all in the one DC. I've managed to stack one chip, and flash it. So I now have stock and rf. I have a DP3T slider switch to use. I'm unsure what I need to do next. I thought it would be a just a matter of the next chip having all legs apart from 1 and 12 soldered to the chip below. With 1 and 12 do the same as before - add resistor and a bit of wire - but have power coming from the 3rd part of the switch. I did this, and it corrupted the 1st flashable chip. So I had to remove the 2nd chip, and reflash the first. So I'm back to stock and rf. Is there something else I have to do?
It sounds like it should work to me - in fact, you can solder every pin of the 2 flash chips except 12 together. I did something similar (but with 2 flash chips and no mask ROM) when I was playing with the BIOS.
