need to flash ps3 from3.40->3.30

The problem is that the PS3 is unable to detect the 3.41 PS3UPDATE.PUP file as valid for the purpose of installing a new hard drive on those PS3 units which require the file for reinstalling the hard drive.

If you're planning to replace your hard disk drive with a bigger one, I suggest you wait for the next update and see if this issue is solved.

If you're already at 3.41 and wipe your working HDD you will be unable to restore it, being effectively locked out of using your system.

Kind of bricked until the next update comes... :lol:

CECHA, CECHB, CECHC and I think CECHD models are not affected as they can format the hard drive without need the PS3UPDATE.PUP file on a USB storage device.
