    I suppose not?
I did a google search like a long while ago, but nothing states a clear solution to the problem,
does anyone have the same problem as me?

I had a problem with a solder fracture. If you open it and put mild pressure on the board, will it boot fine?

So it looks like there's something wrong with the AC adaptor after all.
when i measure the input on the inside of the system, the reading constantly differs depending on the flickering of the LED on/off.

Can i conclude the AC adaptor is dead? or faulty?

It's likely, but not 100% certain - it's also possible that something inside the console is pulling too much power and making the PSU shut down, but I would certainly try another PSU before anything else.
