I recently bought a North American MVS system and a supergun to connect it to my TV. I ended up spending a shitload of money on it, so the ammount of money I have left to buy games for it is limited. Can anybody recommend to me any MVS games that are relatively cheap but good? The first thing that comes to mind is Metal Slug 2 or X. By the way; which of those two is supposed to be better, Metal Slug 2 or X? I think I heard somewhere that 2 had some speed problems and X added a few weapons. Is that true, and is the difference significant?
Don't know of any speed differences, but X definitely adds some weapons. Unless you're into single crediting the game you probably won't notice much of a difference.
Playing through the game on one credit, or alternatively as few credits as possible. Tends to make you very aware of gameplay differences.
I like 3 better them those two, Im not too fond of my X (I cant seem to sell it though lol). My MVS finally decided to work today, was awesome heh
I like 3 better as well, but it is too expensive for me at the moment. Or do you know somewhere I can get it cheap?
I have both home carts and there is definitely some serious slowdown in 2 that is fixed in X. That is the main reason that X is the preferred version. The extra weapons are just the icing on the cake. To the original poster, if you are into shooters you will definitely want to check out Pulstar and Blazing Star.
Thank you, all; those are some good suggestions. Radiac: I'm really interested in Pulstar, but glancing at eBay it doesn't show up.
Well it's been a long time since I've searched for MVS carts on there, but it used to show up frequently for $40-$50 dollars. That's the beauty of the MVS.The same game on home cart would run you just shy of $800. Hang in there you'll find one.
