Well, to be honest, the epoxy came free pretty easily.

I understand that you would want to regain most of your investment, but in this case he made a rather large profit.

TonK: you are a good man. Heck, I'd say 99% of some other forum is a pale shadow of you :smt045 :smt023 :prayer:

    ASM: ok, fixed it :)

Must you name other forums, leading to people there becoming hostile and perhaps flooding forums again?

    Allusion is a great thing.

strange idea that when it comes to unreleased games it doesnt really matter if they are good or bad.. people just want to play them :smt033

  10. Seems odd that more Neo CD protos haven't shown up, it only ever seems to be proto MVS carts.

Surely there must be some games that were in the process of being converted to CD that were never released? Or maybe even some more NeoCD exclusive titles?

I like the NeoCD (especially the front loader), it's a groovy little box-o-tricks. But why some of the games never got CD releases is madness. Maybe if SNK had put a faster CD drive and RAM to make games load faster?

Hrm...well...i imagine that most protos would be on MVS...as I'm pretty sure all Neo Geo games...CD included start on MVS.

  12. Not the CD only games.. And surely there must be un/complete CD conversions of MVS titles that were never released.

Another random thought - Mahjong AES games. Crazy that the Japanese would pay all that cash (and get the Mahjong Neo stick) just to play the game. Surely all mahjong videogames are the same?? I'm English, so I obviously don't understand. But I'd never pay £200 for an AES chess game... /random though

  13. Some of us not motivated entirely by money or the elite feeling of having extremely rare things that nobody else can use actually appreciate the work people like you do, Tonk.

As for sales of hacked protos, etc. that's even more a no-no than sharing of roms, and while most of us are of a similar accepting mind concerning the sharing of unreleased material, a lot of people don't take kindly to the selling of unreleased stuff in any form.

But aside from that, why would you want to sell Thrill Kill anyways? It's pretty awful. :smt043

It's a per case basis, they're buying from a known profiteer to make the game available to anyone.

Now, if someone here spent money on a proto we'd pool or donate to help him recoup the costs.

BTW this person who was selling the fakie neo carts named for a ys character? No need to name names.

Ahh, you obviously never knew Chris and Dion :smt043

Hmm, now would that really happen? :smt082

As far as I remember, Ray Young (!arcade!) and Billy Pitt owned Ghostlop, T_Smallz wanted to buy Billy's and release it under license. I believe Mr. Pitt was the one who originally found the proto. I think someone else converted it to AES, though. Oh, and kennyboy had an AES cart on eBay at the end of 2003.
