Rumors say a demo will be made available for those who purchase Type 0 which allegedly comes out early next year.
that is trippy. :witless: never thought i'd see a jaguar and final fantasy combined?! looks like it was filmed in parts of rural england...WOW! ... gonna have to keep my pork-pies peeled on this one. (be a while before i get near it, what with it being on a present generation setup...that's yet to be FLASHED/CRACKED! (that's right copyright hardliners, i want those systems BLASTED open for them to be credible in my eyes) great subject, thanks! :smile-new:
how many chocobo powers in that thing? you know you want this still, flashed/cracked or not. btw, you got adamantoises on the side of the road in england? cool! apparently this is the part we will get in the demo in march. i guess the beginning goes like this: - lucis gets invaded by niflheim's military force. why? one of the 4 crystals. - noctis and his entourage flee the city, while taking advantage of the crystal's powers. - hit the road, trying to reach stella (changed name to luna? childhood nickname?). - checkpoint/ambushed, no special/extra powers at this point as they're out in the sticks (maybe that's why combat looks a bit slower than previous footage?). early level 1 abilities. - ???? does that sum it up? makes sense to me in both narrative and gameplay.
:witless: yeah, we call em coppers. ... sums it up, sort of?! i need to get a grip on it first. not one for new FF's, but this case warrants a change of perspective. i really DO want a blast on it, got me pegged! :smile-new: [edit] typo.
oh, coppers... the coppers can be seen at 1:20 waiting for their unsuspecting prey. http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120627043906/finalfantasy/images/f/fa/Goblin-ff2-art.png i've come to two conclusions. 1. luna is most likely the dark haired female from the previous trailer, not stella whatsoever. 2. older stella looks better.
He prefers old school FF which I can understand. Those seeking that formula should turn to FF Four Heroes of Light. Then play Bravely Default which is it's spiritual successor and is Final Fantasy in everything except name. SE is making a sequel for it.
@ blixa. agreed. :wink-new: but better leave it there as that's a bit of nuclear subject for some. ... from what i can tell, at least by the vibe, the open world factor makes me think a bit of 12 style there. (not a lot obviously, but enough to make the correlation anyway. yes, i liked 12, why i GLUED the f*ck to this subject. :smile-new: )
This franchise hasn't been even remotely good in over 15 years, every new release is just trying to beat a dead horse further into the ground since all Square Enix has going for it anymore is the rotting corpse of Final Fantasy.
actually it was a bit off. says right in the beginning of the video that king regis and aldercapt are still negotiating. doubt they would negotiate after an invasion. meaning, they're on the road at this stage for a different reason. probably a more light-hearted intro. new wallpaper.
You know what's the best part about that wallpaper? THE BBQ! I'm now officially calling FFXV, Final Fantasy : The Road Trip. Travel around the world slay giant monsters to BBQ them.
Heh. SE is cool for doing a more grounded to reality FF game, it should be rather novel. There is the possibility that this proves to be really successful, and the developers are forced to make only urban FF and that wouldn't sit well with me.
The gameplay footage looked like Xenoblade and FF 13 combined which is ok but not spectacular. I think with the amount of time this game has taken we're going to get a bit of a let down. Plus Square just announced that FF Agito 13 HD is going to be retail price 59.99 even though its an HD remake of an old game. Square has really let me down in recent years and I think this is continuing.
nope, xenoblade looks like FFXV. so what if type-0 is an old game? or portable? it's still a full game that took years and millions to create. besides, it's more than a simple upres, game looks gorgeous. with the XV demo included? well worth it. "B-BUT ITS A DEMO, DEMOS SHOULD BE FREE!!!1" nitpicking.
Avoid the mistake of having really high expectations for any upcoming game. Gamers are always going on about "OMG dewd this game will be amazeballs" then complaining about how it did not live to the excitement. C'mon don't be a fanboy Xenoblade came out first. There is no shame in being inspired by another's work.
FFXV was in development and looked like this long before xenoblade. edit; yeah, don't judge the game on how long it's been in development, what does that have to do with anything? doesn't make it automatically better or worse. you just judge it for what it is, that makes the most sense. but of course, the world is fucking backwards, and you can bet the majority of reviews will ask; "does it live up to the 10 years hype?" .. completely neglecting that the game never went into full-production until recently, and thus, taking so long.
To be honest I don't know squat on Xenoblade, but I guess you are right. True journalists will pull that shit, however it will pale in comparison to gamers' merciless hatred of SE no matter what they do.
